I'm fairly certain over the last few years, I've reviewed each one of these Tickling In Space releases. I say a lot of things, break them down a little bit, and usually end up gushing about them insanely for a long time. There's a reason for that, and I figure I'll explain all that.

To say I'm a big fan of Tickling in Space is kind of an understatement. In truth, it's been a genre defining series for me. Anyone who knows me and my kink and art interests knows, both online and in person, how much I gush about it. The original series, done years ago and released in painstaking serial format, when Bandito was just really starting to come around the art scene, and even then, it felt like a difference maker that was going places with intensity, eroticism, and character that the art scene either refused to go or was too afraid to go. It was a shot of adrenaline. The characters and the scenarios were built up and laid out very well, and with how it was released, it left me cresting and begging for more every. Single. Time.

Ever since then, the stories and depth and the like have been top notch. It's all been extremely great, whether it was under Scavenger or Bandito or Ponce. There's few things out there in this community, in this scene, that get my blood pumping, that have my mouth watering, that make me feel like a kid on Christmas compared to a TiS release. And that's what it always is. It's fun. It's awesome. The content also is rocking. I see the growth and nuance in art style and how story is delivered.

TiS is my favorite series ever in the tickling genre.

And this release right here, the 16th release in the series, Blake's Damnation 2, is just another damn example of that.

Story wise, we're headlong into our comeuppance of the Blake and her crew of mercenary assassins. I kind of went in figuring the ramp up from Blake's Damnation 1 would be really solid stuff, but this really blew me away in ways I didn't initially expect. There's no pretenses here. The hallmark of this series run has been the frenetic pacing and the fact that every single page, every single panel, carries a momentum with them that is best in the genre. I think, for a tickling story, the pacing and mechanisms for storytelling in this series are those that other aspiring artists and the like should study. Stuff isn't wasted. Everything is in service toward some sort of goal. Our victims? The Ashen Ghost and vengeful demon Blake, the Avavian black hat Pike, and the craven Poe. If you've been following along thus far, seeing these characters get DESTROYED is a treat. But more than that is the method and how it is all articulated.

Another hallmark in this series is the amazing cover work done by Ponce. I love this cover. It conveys a few different things within the comic itself that I really dig. Whether it's Silki and her excited and focused face, the teasing Slither with her tongue out as her fingers work over Pike's bare backside, or Koki brandishing a feather and looking at Slither as if to say “that's good, but this feather here, it'll really get her squealing.” Pike herself was someone I didn't have super duper strong leanings toward earlier in the series, but she comes off well here, with her struggles and tears and reactions. She definitely comes off as a hottie to me unlike in the past. The actual center piece, though, is Poe. Poe is incredible here. Whether it is those diamond hard nipples poking through her bra, those helpless feet lingering right there with their appealing read polish, it all pales in comparison to her face. My God, her face. The light trickling of tears. The way her mouth is drawn. Her eyes. This isn't a frenetic laughter...no. This is someone who is damningly ticklish being taken apart so dramatically that there's literally no fight to give. Faces are a big thing for me, and that face, right there, is absolutely incredible.

I usually do page by page break downs and the like, but I'm not going to do that here as much. Blake's being put through her paces, like she had been putting Dusty through. She's blindfolded, gagged. Other crew members are about to interrogate Poe and Pike on the whereabouts of their lost crew member, Booki, who has been absent since being captured by True Sana in issue 12. There's more to it than just getting their friend back, with heavy allusions made to coming events, and just why she's so damn important. Another reason I will not be doing a page by page is because this comic does so much more in fleshing out and developing things for the near to far future that it's better seen for yourself. Those layouts, the designs of characters, they all pop, they all really have me wanting more, and I love just about everything involved. From a storytelling perspective, it's great, but the pacing just feels so professional that it's insane.

There's also the ultimate fate of Blake to be discovered. Talk about a punishment fit for Hell...

I keep going back to pacing and the like. The reason is, this comic just takes it up a notch. The action is incredible, and it leaves you sort of gasping the entire way through because of all the forward momentum from panel to panel. I often times focus on panels and characters...but jesus christ...I can't here. Poe is a favorite of mine, and her absolute unraveling is a sight to behold because she can't stand being tickled one bit. She's absolutely incredible. But Pike, who I didn't think too much of before, she's freaking amazing as well, being a lithe hottie getting put through her paces with some reaction shots that left my heart thumping. And then there's Blake...and her...blindfolded...that does things to me that I think should be illegal...and makes me want to do things to her that would probably need to be done outside of Seven Systems Space for me to not be put in prison.

I say all that...and then there's Booki. And there's Dusty. Those action shots involving them are absolutely incredible, but I don't think I've ever dug on Dusty as a captain and as a leader as I do as this comic goes. She's not a damsel in distress, and it's clear and obvious that she's a more than capable badass, and is someone who is driven, and as things progress, I feel showing her in this light is of the utmost importance, or else her tickles aren't as hot because...well...tickling a badass hottie is pretty damn cool.

The colors by Duarte? Stellar. I say this many times, but dude had a lot more on his plate this time for a character design stand point and, in truth, made a lot of great choices and helped new faces pop out significantly and drew a great amount of intrigue. The colors here really do also help with the effects; saliva, tears, sweat...lust..it all really has this great effect that gives the action all that much more life. There's also a dark shaded scene involving Dusty on page six that is freaking so amazing I might use it for my cell phone wallpaper. Rostokfx did another fantastic job with letter, which is also very important given just how much there is here. Plain choices might've betrayed so many elements of what was going down here, but everything has this clean, professional polish, whether it is narrative, whether it is laughter, that I dig and helps pump up the pacing and flow.

Obviously, Ponce's skills are on full display, as are Bandito's skills as a storyteller. Both of these elements, combined, create something that I always talk about as pushing their limits and showcasing incredible growth that it feels almost like a redundant expectation at this juncture. Ponce is freaking incredible with his articulation and how he showcases action, tickling, new characters. There's eroticism, and foreboding, and there's danger, and there's all out busting at the seams ticklish agony that all comes out in exquisite synchronization. And whether it is his characters or the story beats, Bandito really needs to be commended, because he's setting things up for the future all while driving home what is going on now as delicious and incredible. These releases always shock me with how many pages they are because they feel so much larger than they end up being.

And they always leave me dying for more.

Quintessential comic here. If you dig hot tickling action, revenge tickling, or awesome stories in this genre, this is a must have. It's one of my favorite tickle comics ever released.

I absolutely love it.
