Ski masks- the ultimate video turn off?

I don't know how you've never seen it brought up, "man in mask kill me boner" is probably one of the most common tickle video opinions people have.

I don't mind it, however.

"man in mask kill me boner"

Also- reading that a second time in a Jamacian accent is very rewarding

Maybe it's because I've been drinking, but that shit cracked me up. I feel like singing it in a Jamaican accent could make a chorus for a really meaningful song.

On topic, I wouldn't want my face on a tickle video either, but yeah, the ski mask is a huge clip ruiner.

if it's so bad, why do we have famed male lers like The Mystery Hands and Tickler in Black?

I guess the thing about porn is in a female-centered setting I don't really place emphasis on the look of the guy. it's kind of like the male cast of the jersey Shore looking strange to average Joe, in my opinion. I think guys just "are."

The scream mask is the worst by far. There are producers who can manage to stay out of the shot mostly through different camera angles, or entirely by using other lers, so I really dont get it. I probably wouldnt get into the business if i was afraid of having my face on camera.

not the ultimate turn off, but in the top 3 for sure.

steve

I could care less if it's a guy in a mask, I'm not looking at him at all. For tickle clips, I just love seeing the ticklee's reaction as she's tickled and what specifically is tickling her. If it's a guy tickling a woman, I auto-mentally wipe him from my sight. It's a reflex.

I'm not familiar with mystery hands, but I've never really cared for TIB. I find the sound of his voice very annoying. The only thing I've ever liked by him was when he tickled Malin Gramer.

Well, that's quite simple. It's not always that someone is afraid :) It's because most customers like to see female ticklees (and ticklers) and their reactions more. And so why irritate the viewers with your sight if you are a guy? ) Your hands are all that's needed to be on camera and not to cause turnoff.

Man in mask kill me boner dead!
Daylight come an' me wan' go ho-ome...!

Heh, couldn't resist... XD

As for my own two cents, masked 'lers are kind of annoying, sure, but they don't totally ruin clips for me. Unless the 'ler is particularly attractive, my attention is typically on the 'lee's face and feet anyway.
It's masked 'lees that turn me off. Feathery Mardi Gras things are okay, but I can't stand those ugly leather gimp things they put on male 'lees... XP

I understand other peoples opinions. I was just expressing mine. Masks are weird and distracting to me. There are other producers that manage to be the ler and yet keep their face out of the shot. Maybe other masked avengers can learn these techniques too

Same. I'm with you on this one. I get why masks bother some people but they don't bother me unless its like one of those weird old Realtickling videos where the ticklee has on some weird eye mask or something. Don't mind masks on 'lers though.

Masks are the go-to method of identity concealment because very few producers have the ability/desire to use face-blurring techniques. The software isn't cheap and unless you have the good stuff (I do), is more trouble than it's worth. I'm sure some people get pissy over that, too.

Camera angles and close-cropping are an option, yes, but it's not always feasible, especially if you're trying to not rely on the same two shots in every video.

I don't show my face because I know you don't want to see it. The few videos I did with masks were experiments done prior to acquiring the proper tools to not need them. I didn't like the way it looked, either... so I don't do it anymore.

We think alike man! Actually you reminded me, I HATED when the tickler in black wore a Batman mask/cowl in his vids. That's one time I can't watch vids, when it's a Batman mask. lol. I love the outfit the Tickleante wears, that is a wicked mask and he's a true tickle hero!

lol some of the old batman suits were real cornball shit, gotta admit that. I think any context outside the original show with those sort of costumes is probably the wrong one, lol.

Maybe the producers that managed to keep their faces off camera are also wearing masks.
If their off camera how can you tell?

Sorry just being silly. Your opinion is appreciated.

I actually do think that a lot of producers could stand to improve their process. Basic stuff like framing shots, or at the very least not adjusting your tripod while you're filming (clackity clackity clackity clackity). Most of them just point and shoot and don't even bother to do things like put titles on their videos... and the ones that do often use color schemes that look like a box of Crayolas vomited on their monitor.

On the other hand, threads like this aside... does anyone truly care if they do? I mean, not once has anyone said to me - or in public, to my knowledge - "hey, that producer's cinematography is top notch". It's a little disheartening, and makes you wonder whether or not the ones that don't, either can't or simply don't care. I mean, if the video turns a profit, then their work is validated.

You rarely hear from happy customers, but it's safe to assume everyone on this list is considered to be a "professional" with their camera.

Literally only Stocks Studio and Stuck in Stocks I would consider inferior image quality, and Stocks Studio more than makes up for it with their girls, and Stuck has been a favorite for over a decade and it doesn't even matter for him.

I don't mind masks on the male lers at all. Hell If I was starting a tickling company I would wear a mask too.

I am not focussed on the male tickler, Im focussed on the ladies being tickled. So this is not a problem for me at all.

I disagree. I've bought from several of those studios and they were all guilty of the kind of things I'm talking about.

I'm gonna start a company but wear a giant Easter Island mask when I do the tickling....I can see a market for that :p

LOL, I'd say you cornered the giant Easter Island mask tickler gig if you did!

This is an interesting point. Personally, I've bought and loved videos from producers who do wear masks, such as RealTickling, but I also love many, many videos where the tickler isn't masked, like Marcus from SoTicklish.

What I like about ticklers who don't wear masks is that it gives the video more of a relaxed, natural vibe. A masked or anonymous tickler, for me, kinda gives the video more of a mysterious, serious tone. I certainly wouldn't consider it a deal-breaker if I'm thinking of buying a clip, though. It varies from company to company, video to video :)

Honestly, any mask is a turn off. Just be real and legit, that mask stuff is just plain aweful
