I think having good relations with people is just good relations in an organization like Sarkeesian's. Like being a business vs being a social cause.
considering my name isn't meangry and I don't shit on everyone I don't think I'm unreasonable.
let's do some fact checking
OP got critiqued.
OP was not given permission to release critique.
OP has waited over a year for permission (correct?)
Critique comes from feminists.
Feminism in 2017 looks more like outrage than outreach.
Do you really think this might be more than just a friendly pat on the back?
I think the OP was pretty straightforward in saying he didn't expect the positive review he received, and he didn't try to put any other meaning into it than, "Hey, I submitted this, and got a better reaction than I thought it might!"
Agreed but don't you think it would be nice to have some credibility when he releases it?
I'm thinking if it weren't sent for rational review it might be lynched by other feminists. call me crazy, but it's not out of reach.
Actually the whole thing was set up a year ago (it was a perk when you donated to her last YouTube series), but was only sent in at the end of October, with the finalized notes sent in the middle of January. I only asked for the go ahead to post it a week or so ago.
Seems pretty reasonable, when going through with everything I didn't really expect a "Do not publish" disclaimer along with it so I just assumed once I got it I could post it wherever. I did ask permission so I'm waiting on it, but this seems fair. I'm still holding off that I can be given the thumbs up as 'proof', since all things considered it was way more positive than I think most people think, but I understand why what I've posted thus far isn't really swaying anyone one way or another.
Feminism is a range of political movements, ideologies, and social movements that share a common goal: to define, establish, and achieve political, economic, personal, and social rights for women.[1][2] This includes seeking to establish equal opportunities for women in education and employment.
Am I correct to assume you liken this more to a kind of "I slide you a little something, and in return you don't call me sexist..." type deal? Because that seems possible, until you take into account even half this thread believes "She will call everything sexist", has criticized Joss Whedon material while being personal friends with the man, and who made a literal brand out of 'Criticize The Media You Love'. If there was any final boss who would have laid my material to shreds, it was without question going to be Fem Freq.
Everything, if you crane your head one way or another, can be construed as sexist.
I saw a chance to get a famous feminist organization, largely considered (fairly or otherwise) to be "sex negative", pretty much have to give an opinion about blatantly sex based content in a way I think many people, here and elsewhere, would have an interest in knowing.
This is the only part that throws me. It sounds kind of adversarial, like you went into it with a bit of "I'm gonna make these feminists look at my tickle porn, and make a donation, so they have to give an opinion." And they acted like adults, which surprised you.
I've read the entire thread but... maybe I missed it. Where will the game be available?
Apparently she's still got a small but comically obsessed demographic of hate-followers; that's something.Huh, I thought Anita's 15 minutes ended awhile ago but hey, that's great Comfort Eagle. Congrats!
Maybe he's aiming for a bigger demographic than this one:Given how massively unpopular Anita is in the gaming community, is it wise to attach her name/organization to your game when you release it? (or did I misread something and you aren't going to do that??)

Question for you though...

I mean, I think he'd like to make a few bucks.
For one, 'that fetish porn game Feminist Frequency played and kind of liked' is definitely going to draw eyes no matter if you like her or not. But I've also dismissed nearly all Anita-critics as whiners, I can't find one that makes any good response to her that doesn't devolve into rambling gibberish.
But there was another element, and that's a lot of "SJWs" enjoy kink and fetish content, and it wouldn't be the worst idea to put out something that appealed to a little bit of everybody.
So people who are ultra left wing are more likely to be into kink?
Nah, not really. About an even 50/50 split. But why have to pick one or the other when I can try and get both to enjoy it?
Perhaps you could put a disclaimer on the game that says, "Even though this was approved by Feminist Frequency, I Double-Bro pinky swear that if you play it, Anita S. won't send her feminist stormtrooper ninjas kick down your door and laugh at your dick"? That might calm some fears.

Well, whatever you do, good luck and god speed man!
