Maybe this thread will take flight and end up with many, many pages, or maybe it'll disappear into the TMF abyss! But let's give it a whirl....

What were some of the earliest tickle stories you read? For me, it was a website that's probably long been forgotten about, called Toefun. There was one particularly cute story on there about a girl called Grace who got her feet tickled during a tennis class. It's probably going on for fourteen years since I first read that! It was my introduction to the awesome world of tickling stories :)

Another classic was on The Laugher's tickling website (also, sadly gone), with a girl named Cheryl who was tricked into being locked into the stocks for an impromptu foot tickle. Super great story again!

I'd love to hear which stories you guys read first, and what you loved about them! :D
 
Ahhh yes I remember it well! The year was 1979, in Human Digest magazine; do they even still publish Human Digest?!? The story was simply entitled Erotic Tickling and it was a tale of a so-called non ticklish woman who was of course proven wrong when her bf tricked her into being tied up and "experimented" with her body as it were. ;) I can still remember the story almost word for word all these years later. What thrilled me above all was finding out that I was NOT alone in my tickling obsession, it really existed; and there were others just like me! :)
 
Let's set the Way-Back Machine! The first time I was aware of anything resembling tickling-specific literature was when I accidentally came across the Dec 1991 issue of Penthouse Variations "Tickled Pink". I had never purchased any pornography until that day, lol. I don't remember any of the stories in that issue specifically though I do remember snippets of dialogue and descriptions. I think the overwhelming thing about it was just the realization that tickling was actually "a thing" and it wasn't just me. I can see it like it is right in front of me though. I was checking out at a magazine/comic shop and the owner was ringing up my sale. I glanced behind the counter and saw the issue on the rack with the other adult material and was gobsmacked. It seems like a lot of us are familiar with unexpectedly encountering tickling -- questioning is this real? Is it really about tickling??? Only one way to find out.

The owner asked me "Anything else?" I turned beet-red and sputtered that "yes, please, I'd uh like to have that magazine right there...the next one over...thank you."


Prior to that the only thing I can think of is a "dirty book" I had read that had a pretty good scene with tickling in it. I can't remember the title but the plot is the hero somehow gets sent back through time and has to bed-hop his way through history back to the present day. The chapter in question was the Roman Orgy scene. He's entangled with three or four women and there's a lot of licking wine off of body parts and that sort of thing when one of the women randomly produces a long thin feather and begins tickling one of the other girls with it and they end up tickling her to orgasm. When they finish with her the hero and his man-parts become the next target for the feather, lol.

"I came as she was finishing"

Variations were written from a first-person POV, and the letter was supposedly written by a woman, but even at my young age, I strongly suspected that a man had written it. Maybe he's on the TMF right now?!
 
I think it was 1977, in Letters to Madam X in Penthouse. A guy wrote how a girl he met at a bar tied him up, then tickle-tortured him with her long nails. Of course, being in Penthouse, he had a great orgasm. A later letter asked Madam X how she would tickle a guy. And, she answered.

I remember that one! It was a couple and their neighbor and the neighbor got her after they got the neighbor for losing scrabble! Can you tell I read it a few times?

First one was in Penthouse. It was a woman telling a story of her lifelong interest, and then meeting a guy at party who tied and tickled her with a big feather she kept in her room, hoping to have used one day. I could not believe it. A whole story about the fetish.

Not counting the tickling stories I wrote myself, my experience matches TickleHere’s above pretty closely — the Nov/Dec 1991 issue of Penthouse Variations with “Tickled Pink” on the cover. I’ve read other people on the TMF who mention that issue. I’m tempted to say it was the first time I realized that “our thing” was out there, but I don’t know if that’s entirely accurate. I was just beginning my 20s when I picked up that Variations issue, and tickling had been a part of my sexual fantasies ever since I had been old enough to have sexual fantasies. I figured I couldn’t be the only one, but I had always thought it was probably only related to foot fetishes, and I didn’t have a foot fetish. I guess that Variations issue, with its collection of m/f, f/f, and f/m stories, was confirmation of what I suspected/hoped. And the stories were pretty hot, too. I kept an eye out for mentions of tickling on the covers of Variations from then on, and would buy the issue if they were there; I recall there being 2 or 3 issues with tickling stories over the next 3 years or so, including one story I remember really liking called "4th of July tickle orgy" (July 94?).

As far as the internet, it has to be “ticklegal”’s old site and the collection of stories there.

I think I’ve written about this before on the TMF, but it’s kind of interesting to think how “spoiled” I’ve become with the choice of great stories on the TMF. I tend to gravitate towards favorite authors, or certain content descriptions, etc. A far cry from when just stumbling over the word “tickle” somewhere could get me a little flustered. I remember in my early teen years reading the briefest mention of a woman getting tied up and tickled in one of the Gor books — seriously, it was just one sentence — and it kept me happy for weeks.

And yes, "Edmund and the Night Visitors" is an awesome story.
 
First Tickling Story

The first tickling stories I read were in Penthouse. They were the first magazine to bring up the issue. The first story was in Penthouse Forum and titled "Tickling Fantasy" I almost wore the pages out reading it. Later the story by Don Keefer came out in Variations and that was another one I read a lot of times. Material was sparse in those days too; these two stories and nothing else, for years. What an awful famine that was.

To answer honestly, it was a book about Grover from Sesame Street being tickled (way before Elmo, and I was pretty young).... BUT I do remember being in college in the computer lab, and I remember my very first time time searching "tickling" in the Excite search engine (Remember Excite?). I found a story that was written in second person. The narrator, I think called the Tickle Master, was describing how he would expertly tickle you, the reader. I was pretty flushed in that lab. I remember printing the story out so I could read it again later in my dorm room.

My very favorite tickle story ever is Asylum 7. I still read it a couple of times a year. Think I'll read it now!

Sounds like "Shannon" series by Max Speer. Not available here because of her being 17.
Mine was also stories from TickleGal back in 90-ties. And early Tickle Town as well. But first I remember the titles were Max Speer stories "KJack the Tickler" and "Father Fred". There was a scrap of the first one salvaged somewhere, but lost again...
 
The Shannon series by Max Speer. Found quite a few stories on this geocities site which was an aggregator of tickling stories. And of course Kittletown, which is a classic series.
 
Oh yeah, this. Thank you for remembering. Shannon by Max Speer. What a fantasy it was in my age of 18. 17 y.o. was quite ok for me that time :)

I think I remember that one. Someone wrote to Xavier Hollander and told her he fantasized about a beautiful woman tickling his feet.

She replied that she would use a silk strand, a feather, a stiff wire brush, and of course her long fingernails.

Then she wrote that she wanted him to know she would also tickle his armpits, legs, and balls.

And she would blindfold him.
 
The first one I read to completion was actually one of the "Jenny the clown" ones that get posted on the forum not too long ago, the one with the burglar. I don't really enjoy reading that kind of thing but that one caught my eye.
 
If I recall correctly it was "The Captive Babysitter". It's been more than 15 years since I first found it and it's still one of the best tickle stories I ever encountered. Easily in my Top 3.
