Bones - Season 6: Episode 17 "The Feet On The Beach"

Catching up on Bones through Netflix, I pleasantly surprised when 'podohile' was mentioned in an episode. Now disappointed that it was only mentioned that one was not a podophile, but still, that progress I think.

I remember that episode. It actually involves severed feet found washed up on a beach. It is not erotic.

The actor who plays Agent Booth (David Boreanaz) is rumored to have a foot fetish.

Don't think it was meant to be erotic. We had a news item here years ago when feet encased in shoes were washing up on the beaches here off of Puget Sound. It took a while before scientist pointed out that feet will not erode with the rest of the body while they're incased in shoes. Hence why there were so many shoes near the remains of the Titanic. All of them most likely still have feet in them. Still, the initial discoveries were a bit grizzly, and some folks couldn't help but run rampant on wild sadistic rituals of some mad man cutting off people's feet and throwing them into the bay. Turns out it wasn't quite that sinister.
