Dealing with piracy - Website change

Piracy has been a thing for the longest time and I'm not even hear to complain about it. What does bother me are two things. One being that I have had a few girls who were my friends that I have shot with who were fine with being shot for my site, but later found their videos on pornhub and youtube due to piracy. Yes, that is going to happen in this digital world, but they get mad and blame me for allowing their videos to get on these sites. The other thing is it their is a lot of money put into making these videos. Seeing that your videos gets 30k views on pornhub is a real blow to the gut. I don't expect to get rich or even make a living off of this stuff, but I do want to make some profit. At least enough to put back into making more videos or extra money for dates.

Because of this, I'll be taking down my clips4sale site and opening up my own site http://ticklingsocal.com. I'm going all in with a monthly subscription/streaming model where it costs only $9.99 to get full access to all of my content. To avoid piracy and have my videos showing up in other places, my clips can't be downloaded, which is why I put the price at $9.99 to make it more reasonable. Down the line I may have it where you can buy a Blu-Ray with certain clips, but as of now it's all streaming. I will be able to do live streams, live chats with the girls I shoot with and even sell merchandise.

All of my old videos aren't up yet. I'm in the process of doing it now. But you can still sign up as of today to get access to what's up there. I know it's a big change for some, but hopefully you guys understand. The times have changed and us producers have to change with those times to stay in business. Sadly a few people mess up things for everyone else. Hopefully this route works and I won't have to shut things down and re-position like I've been having to do lately.

I'm sorry that happened to you and Good luck. Honestly, I got bitched out by a couple producers around here when I stated that piracy, pornhub, etc are causing problems and they swear on their life that it's not a problem.

I mean I can see both sides. Piracy can help with getting your content noticed. There are people who pirate an album, and if they like it, they go buy it. The thing is they have to like it. And how many people will actually do it? It's not the main problem, but it is a problem. The bigger problem for me is when non-professional girls I shoot with get mad at me because their clips get put on pornhub or youtube.

Fetish producing would be great if it wasn't for the fucking customers.

Your comment about pirating, then buying, an album has merit. One is more likely to then listen to that album more. With a tickling video? Yeh, not that much. But, you producers have to spend money to hire models, buy the equipment/software to make the video, then pay for a website to offer the videos, etc. etc. It's a wonder any of you guys keep at it. Some of us appreciate your efforts (I'll admit I don't buy many....not that I don't want to). Good luck with this idea. It might catch on.

So would IT support!!! I mean seriously, just turn that fucker off once in a while and do the damn updates! Wait... what's going on?

Seriously though, SoCal, best of luck with the new model. I completely get it.

Right. These girls are not porn stars. If their family, friends, co-workers or anybody at work finds out; it's a risky situation that could cost them their job. It has happened before.

Meant to add something that effect to my post, weezl. That's probably the biggest problem, which the piraters don't give a hoot or holler about.

They may not want to get that video, but it might drive them to go look at my other videos. But it's unlikely. It is costly and time consuming and sucks to see you videos out on the web. Hopefully it does catch on. Music, TV, music and even programs are going the subscription route. It's just adjusting with the times. I honestly think it's best for both parties. Producers can get another level of protection and the customers don't have to pay $1 a minute for every single video.

Appreciate it man. It'll take more work on the backend, but it's worth it. You have to wear more hats these days.

Exactly. One of my friends works at CNN and word got around at her job that she was on Pornhub. Although the video is innocent, the fact she was on that site isn't a good look.

...

I really want to see this video now.

Streaming isn't going to help you. There's too much software out there readily available and offered commercially (such as Studio) that allows any screen content to be captured.

As long as it can be seen on a computer monitor in any form - it can be copied and stolen by the pricks of the tickling world and posted on pornhub.

I know it's not going to stop it completely, but it is another line of defense. I also think the model will slow it down some. Similar to what Apple Music and Spotify do for music. I don't want to long for the 90s and early 00's when things were booming. Content creators in all fields have to change and adjust.

I know it is not the point of your post, and I shall get to that in the next paragraph. However I find your "friends'" reaction odd to say the least. First as a friend, they should trust you when you say you did not allow anyone to post their videos. It is not your fault, nor did you "allow" this to happen in any way! You don't see Nicole Kidman suing Paramount because Eyes Wide Shut ended up on the Pirate Bay, do you?!

Piracy sucks, we agree. I always pay for content, and never trade with anyone, when I get the odd offer here or via email. I respect the original creator's work far too much for that. However the drawback is that I thus limit myself to a couple of purchases every month at best (and I often rewatch my favorite clips instead of searching for new content), usually from the same few stores I have been following for years. For me to try out a new store, I need to be really interested, and competition is fierce. The idiotic 10-seconds previews from C4S are usually not enough, despite the sometimes lavish descriptions put up by producers, for me to make a clear opinion of what I am buying. Aside from stores owned by friends (like FTKL's) or discovered through the ads at the top of the TMF, I often discovered new stores by watching a clip on Youtube, which either made me want to own higher resolutions of the same, or buy more from the store.

So here is an idea, and it is just an idea mind you. Maybe sometimes the sharing of a few videos have helped a store to gain more faithful customers once in a while? Once again, I am not advocating for piracy, but maybe there is a flipside to things? Just a thought...

Pornhub is easily dealt with if something is posted illegally. It's the bigger pirates that run entire sites with thousands of stolen clips... and make money off those clips. Scumbags.

The problem you will have now is they will sign up for your monthly service, scrape all your clips with a stream capture tool and within a week or two all your content will be posted on the bigger pirate sites. TA faces this with their subscription model... all their clips, often within hours of posting, are pirated. I hate to tell you this but, in essence, your change will make it easier for them... not harder.

Almost entirely bullshit, I've seen people (on here no less) readily admit they won't pay for any whack off content almost out of principal, but also because they know if they wait 2 months they can find it free elsewhere.

I'm really sorry you've been dealing with this, piracy is definitely and huge problem nowadays. I've been a huge fan of your videos from day one and I've been worried many times that you would never return to your clips store for more updates. I will definitely support your new website subscription based content, I'll be looking out for your older clips (Kacey, Jessica, etc) as well as your new clips!

Do they understand that you yourself didn't put it on those sites? I mean these days anything from clips4sale, FmConcepts, IWantClips whatever will eventually end up on pornhub. It sounds like they didn't really understand the risk before they agreed to shot a video.

It sounds like maybe nobody should expect their target audience should be garbage humans and constantly on the lookout for when any of them to decide to fling shit on websites they're not supposed to because "Well what did ya think I was gonna do?!"how about that.
