I just wasn't interested in derailing the topic into a tangent.
I get where you're coming from and I wasn't intending to make it a marxx vs. Hyek discussion. I am just pointing out the economics that affect this niche. I may be wrong, i'm just guessing but in the larger general areas of adult entertainment, the number of dollars is so big that if only 15% of patrons are paying customers there's still a lot of money out there.
In our case we are dealing with a truncated pool of potential consumers. That means that in my estimation we have to over perform as a group of consumers to ensure that our sector of adult entertainment is profitable to keep up with demand.
Piracy creates a distortion in our market that makes goods artificially cheap (or free) and doesn't allow capital to make it to the producers that are making goods that we want like and need. Either a.) we follow the OP and are intentional about compensating the producers that we watch or b.) accept the idea that we will have less variety moving forward.
Turtleboy is already having to change his business model to protect against piracy, Darke just closed his store, tommy is talking about closing down his subscriptions, Tickle intensive has slowed their production to a near crawl, Czech tickling seems to have slowed down their production.
In the short term it's easy for some people to think that "hell, pornhub will always be there" but in reality, pornhub exists as an excess of the crawl at the top of our screen (new content created). If you cut off the supply of new content how long would it take the average CONSUMER to run through the majority of OUR material? a few months. Not to mention the fact that over time as technology increases older clips are less and less appealing. Try looking at a clip from 5 years ago, let alone 10.
I'm not here to try and make it seem like I am perfect. I'm not. But I have invested thousands of dollars over the years to support the people that underwrite our community. Everyone may not have 200 a month to pay for every clip that comes across the crawl, but everyone has 10 bucks to look out for a favorite.
