Please help. Piracy is wrong. It is killing us. We aren't rich like you think.

The reachable. Read through. There are a lot of people who just took free stuff for granted that think it makes more sense to help out. I think that helps. What would you have her do? Just keep making stuff for free investing her time and money and shut the fuck up about it? Jesus, you Buckeye fans!

Not being a total constant bitch to everyone might be a good start. Sorry, I'm from a polite state. "To my fans: Don't pirate my stuff, you basement dwelling mama's boys" is in no universe an effective pitch. Frankly, I can't believe there are people here ("you people" to quote Comfort Eagle) who think that roasting one's fans will stop piracy. But maybe I'm wrong, and that's why I'm not in this business.

As I recall from the start of the thread, you were butt-hurt before anyone started talking about "basement dwelling mama's boys".
You complained about being talked down to, but never did explain what you were so offended about.

There are people who would use this term to describe a woman. And then there are real men.

Here's what you do son. Invest thousands of your own dollars making something people ACTUALLY WANT and then watch other people monetize it without giving you a dime. Then come back to me about what you deem to be an appropriate response.

IMO, when you put a lot of hard work into a investment/project/business on a consistent basis for several years straight; all of a sudden, you're earning maybe 90% less than you were before because of an issue like this; I can understand why she would express frustration towards the people that cause the problem, advocate piracy, defend it and won't cease their activities.

On top of that; your models/friends/clients are struggling to keep the full time day job that they depend on to pay their bills, groceries, student loans, whatever their situation may be. Their families become aware of it which isn't exactly the most flattering thing in the world to experience.

Another producer here posted a thread a couple weeks ago that one of his videos was on pornhub for free and it accumulated over 60 thousand views.

But obviously not everybody sees it that way.

This is the best response, because it doesn't signal that you're here for the pity party. Thank you for that.

Lucky for everyone, I'm just some 'guy with camera' hobbyist schmuck. And from my own activity just on the very outer brim of "the business" I can't stand the vast majority of what's supposed to be my audience, I can't imagine how poorly the people consistently losing money must feel. I would bet some of that lost money it's not good, though.

Trust me; if I was a producer that had to deal with this issue, my attitude would be a lot more aggressive about it.

I'd imagine not. But the alternative is ranting here? I've yet to see an adequate justification for how that helps the bottom line.

I just don't see what aggression solves, other than mild therapy. It doesn't increase numbers, or stop piracy (at least, I presume). Not posting here, anyway.

It can be an effective way to protect yourself and your business.

I've welcomed u to read through the thread and see the people who openly offered more support.

"It's just how it is". You're like Ravensfan52. Low expectations. You defend yourself by saying that it's not entitlement, it's just how your generation grew up. Guess what, your generation grew up with entitlement. Immediate gratification doesn't mean you have a right to something. You have a fetish? Ok. Most of us do. It's not a reason to pirate and stop using that weak excuse. You're not a victim. You don't need phap material to get off. It just makes it more fun. And those without fetishes are pirating even more content. So again, weak excuse. All you and those like you are doing is making excuse after excuse to justify doing something to others that you freely admit you would not want done to you. Guys like you don't make arguments. You just make bullshit excuses to justify you continue doing what you've always been doing, no matter how wrong you agree that it is.

Yes this is my exact point. I don't need fap material, but since it's there, I take advantage of it. If I had to pay for it, I'd just use my imagination. I still wouldn't pay for tickle porn. It's not that important. I stopped pirating music when Spotify became prevalent, maybe tickle producers should find a way to band together and have one service that has all of the clips. Maybeeee at that point I'd pay for it, still likely not. But $5-20 for a 5-30 minute clip is ABSOLUTELY ABSURD considering the benefit that I get from it. It's marginally better than me using my imagination. Yes, I know they're taking into account the cost that it took to make the video and all that, I get how that works. I'm just saying, maybe the producers need to take a step back and look at the system they've created before it crumbles beneath them.

No...you're just saying..."I don't give a fuck." What are you? 23...24? I can not wait for life to bitch slap you with exactly what you're doing right now.
Come back in ten years and tell me you have the same bullshit argument when you are on the receiving end of another 20 something prick who doesn't give
a fuck and is just "taking advantage" of the system. Guys like you aren't gonna learn until it happens to you. Fortunately, I don't have to believe in karma
to know that it will. Guys like you, make that possible.

Absurd is a little strong, let's leave that on another pile. And let's not go through the imagination bit.

Getting past that, there is an argument to be made that there is a more optimum price point. Most stuff on Clips 4 Sale runs very close to $1 a minute. Brand new material on Kink.com runs for about $.25 a minute. The reason that they can afford to do that is because they have the volume to cover it.

Tickling is a much more niche market and thus, we are going to have to over perform as a consumer base in order for our producers to recoup investment capital in the short term.

In a perfect world, we could pool the TK producers collective volume to either a.) for their own ad based streaming service, or b.) offer their premium content on the existing pirate sites. Kink.com now offers their videos direct to the premium side of pornhub. With that arrangement Pornhub has skin in the game to mitigate pirated material. They also offer breadcrumbs. If you search for the video that just came out on one of their main sites then it will come up on porn hub as a selectively edited long preview to lead to a purchase at kink.com or lead you into a premium membership with pornhub.

The challenge is to find a more efficient way to monetize the content that producers create that people do in fact consume. I'm sure if Miss sage of anyone else was getting just $.10 a view from the torrid amount of times their content is accessed online then we wouldn't be having this conversation.

It's not just tickle porn either. Part of it is about turning your dreams and fantasies into reality, or as close to reality as possible; I can't put a price tag on that; it means more to me than any reasonable producer would charge me to satisfy that need. I used to, still do dream and fantasize about this fetish but I remember I felt like I couldn't ever do anything about it for a number of obvious reasons.

You defend yourself by saying that it's not entitlement, it's just how your generation grew up. Guess what, your generation grew up with entitlement. Immediate gratification doesn't mean you have a right to something.

I cannot agree more.

I have no solutions for the issue raised by Kelli. I really do not, beside the consolation that I myself never steal anything, ever. I'd rather call it stealing by the way, because that is what it is; "piracy" in our age of pop culture brings up all kinds of romantic images: the "Robin Hood" syndrome which was brought up by other users.

I think part of the problem may arise from the fact that we are a niche market. Everybody is hit by illegal copying roughly the same way, but the edge big studios like WB or Universal have over the tickling market is that there still make enough legal sales to have a return on investment. Even mainstream porn studios can reach that balance, but the fact that we are so few kind of makes the problem even more acute.

I wouldn't say, like my good pal Solemates, that we are a shitty community. I made some real friends here, and the TMF is replete with talented, creative people who have something to say or something to contribute in the form of art, clips, photos, etc... Just yeah, like everywhere else in the world, there are thieves, crooks, and trolls. The TMF has its fair share of them, but thankfully, they are not representative of the whole.

If anything, if there is an overrepresented population in here, it's Americans :usa:. It is a very, very American forum; not that there is anything wrong with that but it is probably its most striking characteristic.

lol okay. Considering I'm going into teaching, this won't be an issue. So... yeah if a fellow teacher wants to steal my lesson plans, so be it.

But I could see how you'd be upset running a subpar site like the one you do now. Yelling at the pirates for what they're doing isn't going to solve anything. Begin coming after the viewers, they'll start watching the material with a VPN and you'll just piss them off and you'll have wasted money. I'm trying to tell you that if this is such a big problem, you're not looking for the right solutions. You're trying to jam a square peg into a round hole. Palad offered at least a decent idea of how to solve this, similar to what I suggested previously.

Then why do all of "the good studios" have identical complaints?

Mmmmm I am not sure you'd say that when you publish a book or a thesis or any kind of intellectual property and you get ripped off of 80% of your author's rights by some douche hiding behind a keyboard. Whatever your profession, everyone is concerned by illegal copying, like everyone should be concerned by the way technology changes the way we work. Teachers and academics like you and me will be impacted; in fact it has already begun.

You're an idiot and short sighted. You think because you're going into a profession that is seemingly insular from piracy that you and yours won't be affected by it? I weep for the young. They'll have you for a teacher.

Perhaps you're right. Guess I'll use the money that I've saved up from not buying tickle clips to cushion whatever fallout comes from it.

You're GOING INTO teaching - so you haven't actually been there yet. You don't know how much trouble you'll have if a fellow teacher steals your lesson plans. Someone observing you sees the similarity, and brings charges against you, which you will then have to spend time (= money) defending yourself. And if that fellow teacher is a bit smarter than you, you end up losing your job, and maybe any possibility of obtaining another teaching position. So yes, it can hurt you, big time.

He thinks he's clever. He's young and inexperienced. He'll change his tune after a few years in the real world when things he hadn't considered end up
causing him and his the same kind of grief he and those with the same short shortsightedness are causing people today. If it doesn't affect him, it'll affect
his spouse/partner or his kids. He may have a software designer daughter who gets laid off from a company because of piracy or a literary talented son who self publishes his first book and sees little monetary return on it because it was pirated and released (these are examples of things that have actually happened). Maybe he won't have kids, but one of these scenarios will happen to one of his favorite students. Then when they asks him why people would do this kind of thing, he can explain it to them. Having vast experience doing it to other people and feeling totally justified about it.

Producers have every right to be pissed off when they see their work being posted somewhere for free. Why is this even a difficult concept to grasp? Why people are even defending piracy is beyond me. There seems to be this attitude of "well, piracy is everywhere deal with it". Making these clips cost money. The return is usually not great. Like others have said to those advocating piracy, why don't you film some clips, pay for models and equipment, then see your sales lag because some nitwit decided to post your hard work on a free site. You will get no compensation. So what will compel you to continue? They don't make clips for charity. I can't believe people are defending piracy....
