Country Music Legend Glen Campbell passed away today at the age of 81.

Mr Campbell was a very talented entertainer, and will be missed.

Rest In Peace, Mr Campbell.
 
Not a big country fan, but Glen was prolific and had several cross-over hits in the late 60's. Unfortunately he came down with Alzheimer's. Well, RIP now, Mr. Campbell.
 
One of my coworkers told me today that he got to see him back in 2011 at the casino not long after he announced he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. He also told me that his first hit in Canada was a cover of the Buffy Sainte - Marie song The Universal Soldier. I did know that he had covered the Green Day song Good Riddance. RIP Mr. Campbell



 
A true multi-talented legend. Amazing guitarist and session musician, fantastic singer, generous contributor to the John Hartford and Jimmy Webb retirement funds,(and vice-versa) ;). He joked the reason John Wayne really won the Best Actor Oscar for "True Grit", was because his own performance was so bad!! I have enjoyed watching some of his You tube music videos and love how he always entertained the audience. I know how devastating the dementia illness is to a loved one. Prayers and condolences to his family and fans.
 
An incredibly talented musician, and a good actor as well (La Bouef in True Grit). May he rest in peace.
