Some of you know I have a big problem not just with videos where 'lees reactions are fake, but even when they exaggerate their reactions for the camera, laughing louder than seems realistic, and/or in a tone that sounds forced or fake. Those videos make me feel like I'm being played, conned, duped and tricked... that only people who are dumb, gullible or dull-witted would fall for these amateur acting jobs, but not me for God's sake. Put it this way, at least if I do get conned by a fake "performance," it won't be because I never thought about it.
So here's the tell: Lots of times I find myself watching the face of the 'ler more than the face of the 'lee, especially if it's a female 'ler. Why? Because since the tickler doesn't usually consider her reactions to be the point of the video, she's likely to not even think about faking anything. So if the reaction on her face seems truly amused and entertained by the squirming and yelping of the 'lee, that provides a clue that it's really authentic. (Until producers read this post and start asking the 'lers to fake reactions as well, I suppose. )
Does anyone else ever think about this? It's my #WatchTheLerFace free advisory.
