Although I didn't really watch the show Coach that much, I am saddened to hear about the loss of actor Jerry Van Dyke. He has passed away at the age of 86. Rest in Peace Jerry Van Dyke.

Although not as famous as his brother, Jerry was a fine comedian and actor. Rest In Peace, Mr. Van Dyke.

Years ago I was on a cruise and he was one of the comedy acts on board that week. This was before Coach. I got to hang out with him a bit at the pool during the day. He truly was a friendly, kind and humorous person from what I saw during that short time. Afterwards when Coach came along, he was my favorite character on the show. I always thought he was just as funny, if not funnier, than his brother.

RIP Jerry......

I loved his true story of having to audition for the part of Dick's brother on the 1960's DVD show. He was always funny and entertaining.
