Hello, hello.
I remember when I used to buy Q magazine, there was - maybe still is - a feature where an artist would talk about albums that were important to them, but they’d be divided into categories which related to life experiences. I thought we could do a similar thing but with songs instead. I’ve come up with some categories that I thought would be interesting to explore. So whichever ones stand out, are relevant to you - give ‘em a go! And feel free to say how/why the song fits the bill.
Cheeyers!
A song that…
…reminds you of your childhood
…helped you with your teenaged angst
…brought you closer to a friend
…reminds you of an ex
…was like nothing you’d heard before
…eased your mind during a difficult time
…you once loved but now can’t bear to listen to
…makes you think of family/a family member
…makes you want to play an instrument (better - if you already play one!)
…was one of the first you learned to play on an instrument
…you enjoyed singing at school
…you have vivid memories of performing
