DeepFakes

I actually brought this up the other day. The Young Turks were discussing it:

http://www.ticklingforum.com/showthread.php?293446-How-AI-is-being-used-to-create-fake-porn

After saw that I went by Reddit and read that thread.

It will be good for those who consent to having their image used. Not so good for those that don't. I mean... I was thinking I could use it to place myself in some tickling situations but... I think I'd rather just do it the old school way and film it in real life. This reminds me of Jib Jab. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TaIWM2ruyK4

It may just be a flash in the pan. Or... have a small but hardcore fan base. Idk...

Just came across this new article on the topic. Some pull quotes:

The digital manipulation of video may make the current era of “fake news” seem quaint.
because academic and commercial labs are developing even more-sophisticated tools for non-pornographic purposes—algorithms that map facial expressions and mimic voices with precision—the sordid fakes will soon acquire even greater verisimilitude
the rise of deepfakes is the culmination of the internet’s history to date—and probably only a low-grade version of what’s to come

Two more new articles on the topic here and here, with an accompanying illustrative video "featuring" none other than the illustrious Barack Obama. No porn, but still NSFW:

Never dreamed I'd ever have to issue a trigger warning in connection with fake Presidential verbiage. Glad the real thing is always clean.

Oh...

Oh...

I just watched this yesterday. I made a prediction this alone could effectively end the internet. Or probably more realistically.... tighten a noose around the freedom of it.

I mean when you think about it. Frst it started with phones. (during my generation) People became frightened the Government was listening in. Then sending letters- letters were being opened (supposedly) by the Post Office and the Government. So people stopped sending letters. (Mostly. Personnel letters stopped anyway. ) Then the internet blew up to to the masses. But... emails became the focus of not openly rampent spam but again... the unease that the Government was easedropping. People took to visitng relatves and used forums and other burgening social media to meet strangers.

And now with social media and apps the giant over us... people are questioning yet again (and are RIGHT) about being spied on. And Hacking is of course and will forever be commonplace. Idk what the future holds but I personally think the internet might become a dinosaur as well. What could replace it? Idk but... there's really is nowhere left to go that we (in the U.S I can only speak of) do not have our privacy invaded.

Isoroku Yamamoto was a Fleet Admiral and Commander-in-Chief of the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) during World War II said: "You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass." And now... not only rifles but... behind every blade of grass there is a person with a video camera. And a Hacker.

The future is here. And privacy is dead. That much we all can agree on. But the future of the internet: We can only speculate in this moment. I see extreme regulation in our future. And with issues like this we all must worry about... the freedoms we have left may all indeed be flushed down the toilet. With Government regulation the noose around all of our throats. As the saying goes: "This is why we can't have nice things."

Interesting that you mention Yamamoto, the "mastermind" of the attack on Pearl Harbor; Wednesday was the 75th anniversary of when a U.S. Army Air Forces P-38 shot down the aircraft carrying him, and on the day a team of researchers were supposed to have visited the jungle crash site on Bougainville Island in Papua New Guinea and also held a Shintō ceremony. Details here.

I am both intrigued at the possibilities of the porn I could create to satisfy my lust and utterly HORRIFIED as the possibilities of sheer abuse this could cause.

And as you asked in the related "AI" thread:

Wait, you mean I could technically create a video where a tickle lee's body and face are switched with that of any female celebrity?

Like, say, Tina Turner as she appeared in the 70's?

At least there's some heartening news on this front: that paragon of civic virtue Pornhub has made it harder to find such finished and privacy-infringing deepfakes there, but it could be an uphill battle as they persist.
