Tickle Abuse: a prime example where it's better to bow

Tickle Abuse , we all know, has fallen off a cliff production wise.

Might as well change the studio's name to "Naomi and Maia's store".

The way I see it no models want to do clips there anymore. This is a prime example where it's much better to just bow out and be remembered as a top tier studio, rather than keep putting out content with 1 model, and just rinsing and repeating.

Paradise did it, Ticklehorror, Tickle Intensive etc... Nothing but respect for these stores. They knew their time was up and they couldn't put out genuine decent content anymore.

The quality of the videos isn't what I would consider 'golden era' by any stretch of the imagination, but I don't think TA2 has been out of the top 5 C4S stores in the Tickle category since he opened, and supposedly he makes even more on the main TA site than he does on C4S.

Kind of hard to make the "You only put out shit" argument when there's still hundreds of people pushing it to the best seller lists.

I wouldn't trust c4s rankings too much. It's a bogus rank system. Intensive, Paradise are still in the top 20 there without putting out any content for some time, and i've noticed stores who havent been putting out clips since 2008 show up in the top studios.

The relatively new and wildly popular Octopus seems to be charting just fine, seems like they have something in place that has some kind of idea of what's moving units.

I've written a little narrative in my head that Tommy married a tickle model (my guess is Samantha) and has moved on with his life. He sold the company just like Tickler In Black did (when he married Madison Rivers, of course), and it's now being run by someone who is more of a "traditional porn" producer.

Having said that, Naomi and Maia are a far improvement to what it was even a few months ago.

I mean honestly, I think Naomi is a savage tickler, and has awesome nails for tickling... which may not be as big of a plus for some people as it is for me. Nails get me going, and back in the day it was all Tasha and nobody complained because she was a beast too! But I love Naomi's tickling and basically just cross my fingers hoping she does private sessions here and there and I can be lucky enough to get one!

Do u have any idea why they removed Honeys videos from the store?

I like that Stryker Entertainment has managed to put out genuine, good quality tickle video content for so many years, including today.

Like all good things we are seeing some transitions in video stores but it's good to see some with longevity that haven't fallen off the wagon. There's hope!

Tickle Abuse has built a catalogue of hundreds of videos that rank up there with the all time classic and great videos that other companies have also released.

There's no such thing as a lifer in this business. And piracy is out of control. And unless you diversify the content you release (orgasm videos, roleplaying, etc), the money will never be there.

The Tickle Room is doing amazingly well; but after that producer finishes school, I seriously doubt he's going to risk his career for a tickling fetish. He may keep producing videos for a while, but he will eventually move on in his lfie. (just an example).

TA lost a lot of their charm when Tasha left; after that, they produced decent content, and still do, but it wasn't the same. Kind of like a great little restaurant selling out and becoming a T.G.I. Friday's.

There was some special charm indeed in the times with Tasha. Brooke is another irreplaceable star in my opinion.

For me, Tickle Abuse are just as good, if not better, than they ever have been! For a start, all of these clips are in HD now, which is always great (imagine how good those classic Brooke/Tasha/Nurse Lisa clips would've been if THEY'd been produced in HD!). I also think their models are more beautiful than ever, and they've also branched out into foot worship videos as well, much like Tickle Intensive. I still love TA and it is definitely one of my favourite studios :)

I guess some people can have it all.

It doesn't matter but I'm pretty sure Brian never married Madison Rivers.

I said that was the fantasy I made up in my head, not that it actually happened.

Anyway, if you look at Naomi Swann's Twitter account, she posted a behind the scenes Tickle Abuse pic, and the guy doing the work is most definitely not Tommy.

As is my understanding, there are two different 'Tickle Abuse' studios; the classic NY one, and a newer Florida based one. Tommy apparently owns both, but obviously doesn't operate both at once.

From the looks of it, the Florida one seems to be the one pumping out the majority of newer content, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's not around anymore.

It would be a shame if any producer stopped producing. It's really unfortunate that FM Concepts doesn't make tickling videos anymore. Say what you will about the ticklishness of each model or how effective the tickling was, we've all heard it before... at the end of the day, they made good stuff. And now they don't. And we're not better off because of that fact.

So where's all the supposed "better" producers? Any clips I find interesting the producers use tickling as a sideshow. TA isn't better or worse, it's just different now.

I also forgot to mention in my initial response, but the "ranking" system only really tracks purchases, not necessarily activity from the studio itself. So if Intensive is moving dozens of copies of a 5 year old video, it's irrelevant, because it's still selling at the time of tracking.

I guess. I'm just saying, usually if something's "amazing"? It doesn't take long before you hear about it.

Pretty much, although I'm not sure it's even that. Whenever one of my new releases sells its first copy it suddenly winds up at the top of my "Best-Selling Clips" listing even if that's the only copy it ever sells. I've got clips showing up there that haven't moved copy in over a year. Whatever algorithm they're using, it's whacked.

As I've been saying for the last five years... try looking outside of the top 10. People always go mysteriously silent when I ask them what studios beyond that listing that they know, or have explored, when they cry about "producers" all doing the same thing or not being up to snuff.

Ranking != quality. There's some absolute shit-tier studios at the top of the heap.

You'd be surprised. With thousands of studios out there, there's a lot of good content that just gets completely buried or otherwise overlooked. I'm not saying I'm one of them, but I have worked with some excellent models who I guarantee you don't know, and couldn't name a clip of off the top of your head. Hell, that c4s account that posts "new" clips in the video forum every day completely ignores my studio no matter how much I update, and in spite of people sending me PMs and stuff about how much they love my work you never hear about it in the forums. No reviews, no positive posts, no nothing. And when I do it myself, I get ignored. It's like if the post ain't about TA y'all just completely switch off.

Case in point; I sent you a free clip a few months ago. While I'm not gonna be a dick and say I expected a thank you, I would have at least expected you to tell me if you liked it or not. Seeing as how the whole reason I offered was because we were discussing clip quality here in the forums, n' all.

I can relate in the sense that... well in a few ways.

As someone who has posted all of my content for free... (Though I will open either my own website or use the clipstore someday for actual tickling videos- though seeing your comments here on the Clipstore... Idk if thats such a good idea anymore.) But anyway: It was hard for me judge my own work in the past because like my lastest audio. It's got 820 views so far on the thread- on Soundcloud around 300 actual listens. (I haven't looked in a couple days.) So, but... on the thread itself I received 4 comments. (And a conversation began so the comments about the audio itself are truly just 4.) Now... Im thrilled just to get ONE. Because to me- the content- if it didnt work - aka sucked- if no one responds at all.... That means its not worth responding to. MY WORK. Im not talking about yours or ANY other company. ------Which I think has happened only once to me. (No comments) (But did it suck or were people just well... lazy. Probably lazy or SHY. Idk. Its probably a vast sea of whys and why nots I haven't even thought of.) So... basically I'm holding my breath, nervously... until the first comment appears. Every single time. And based on everything you have said over the years and here.... I had better brace myself for the future. And get use to this. I'm not sure though I ever will. Idk.

But when I go into the chat room after I post something new. Or to my inbox. I receive probably about 30 - 40 WONDERFUL- GLOWING Responses over the course of that week. And I really love them all. Every time it happens. :) But... I also love seeing the comments on the thread itself. Not only does it encourage others to listen if they are on the fence about it- but- I can always come back and reread them. Thats nice to have. But I can't have that in the chat room. Thats the most minor complaint ever I know. But... its just to say that... when you see something you created- you make the thread- and wait...and no one responds... that has to be heart breaking. Especially as a Ticklephile. I know it may probably suck even more when it breaks down to if you break even etc. But... was it always like this for you? Because as a forum poster... I see everyone talking about a lot of the models themselves... frequently. But as you said Tickle Abuse is the main attraction apparantly. Maybe it started out for you with comments galore... and then tapered off over the years? Not about the quality of your work but... people might just feel you should know you are appreciated. Maybe thats it?

Obviously for me when people talk to me its about making that personnal connection. I love that and its ALWAYS a wonderful surprise. So my heart and artistic heart DO get filled up with responses. I just wish they'd post on the thread itself TOO. And give my Audios some "heart likes* I rarely get those. And so... it leaves me wondering about why no one does these things. But if I overthink it- I question my work- and my still learning and growing talent for this. So... as I don't want to do that... once the thread hits the 2nd page I start thinking of it less and move on to thinking about my next idea.

There was a joke that Chris Rock made in his new special "Tamborine". He said basically (to his children- supposedly) "Once you leave this house... NO ONE GIVES A FUCK ABOUT YOU. AND HONESTLY... in THIS HOUSE.... we're kinda on the fence about you too." It was funny, yet brutal and true. His overall point was that... you really have to put in the work to forge your own path. And respect yourself, and what you do... because no one else might or probably will. And that really opened my eyes to continuing on with what I do and focusing less on comments... or likes...and more about ... am I HAPPY with what I DID? And that has helped a lot. In this world of social media and "likes" and emoticons saying what should be said in actual words... its become quite a cold way of interracting in this internet world of ours. But I know I'm not saying anything you don't already know. I just can sympathize with you and what you go through. I follow most of what you say here in this part of the forum... and it has really helped me gain a LOT of insight into all of this. which is what I needed before I proceed into actual video production someday. I wish we could make people understand these things but... I guess we can't. Maybe thats just part of the internet age long gone. Idk.
