I love mob flicks, and yet I never got to see The Sopranos. I was watching Oz at the time, which I still consider the best TV show ever made in America. Maybe I should try to see it some time, especially with the movie coming up. Anything that makes Captured Doll dance in joy on her beautiful (bare) feet must be very good indeed :D

Yes you REALLY should watch it. It's AWESOME.

@DreamingOfOz I know what you mean. When it hits me that he's gone sometimes... it really pains my heart. He is sorely missed.

You should check out LillyHammer with Steven Van Zandt On Netflix. He plays the same character pretty much. I'm on the 3rd season. Theres a surprise episode in the the second season finale worth seeing... but I won't say anything more. ;)

We just have to remember that... even if he had lived... James Gandolfini didn't want to play Tony anymore. It was really hard for him to play it as time went on. The aggression and anger... I'd like to think he would have come back for a movie... but... who knows. Know matter what... what we have is 6 seasons of pure gold. And all of us will alway be forever grateful.

Amen.

Oz was a TV series created by Tom Fontana and which ran from 1997 to 2003. It depicts the life of inmates in a maximum security prison. It is a fantastic show in the same realistic vein as the Sopranos; I've never seen anything like it before or after. Check it out here, it's brilliant!

I might give the Sopranos a chance, in due time~ James Gandolfini is a terrific actor; he was amazing in 8mm and True Romance.
