Support the TMF on Patreon!

Hi everyone,

I've decided to create a Crowdfunding option for the TMF, and I wanted to explain why there's going to be a "contribute" button appearing soon.

But first, I want to personally and sincerely thank you all! The birth and incredible growth of the online tickling community is something that I've been privileged to have a front row seat for, and I never cease to be amazed by how many of us there are.

The TMF got its start almost twenty years ago as a freeware forum with about 200 members, and I can still remember the day that we registered our 800th member. I was shocked by the idea that there could be so many of us! Now seventeen years later, we routinely have more than that using the forum at once, and we've registered over a hundred thousand members.

With over 10,000 unique visitors every day, we reach English-speaking tickling fans all around the world; and we've had dozens of couples meet on the forum and fall in love in real life, then go on to get married and have children - That's how deep our roots go! We've brought tens of thousands of new tickling enthusiasts together, and we've accumulated what has to be the largest archive of tickling stories, images, comics, videos, and more, in the world!

But the TMF is very old and our software is out of date and showing its age (a situation that is only going to get worse,) and as we archive more and more material our need for hard drive space gets more demanding. In addition to that, there are a number of things that we need to address if we hope to stay relevant for another twenty years.

Since the TMF's creation I've resisted putting up any kind of "contribute" button. But things keep evolving and getting more expensive, especially when it comes to computers and the Internet. And while I'm happy to keep paying the forum's bills, I'm already putting as much of my own money into it as I can. Without funding, its relevance is going to continue to fade and new generations are going to find it increasingly antique-looking. Eventually it will just be a handful of old-timers, complaining about the fact that there's no more tickling community.

But I believe the forum can grow and evolve into something that can serve the needs of tickling enthusiasts everywhere in the 21st century!

For that to happen - If the TMF is going to survive, and thrive, and become everything it has the potential to be - it's going to need your help!

Nobody is required or expected to give their money to the TMF - being a member of the forum is more than enough. But if you can, you'll be helping improve the forum and making it better for everyone.

I've had a Patreon for a while. But at no point have I ever said, "I just HAVE to back this person." And there are a lot of DAMN GOOD artists out there that deserve every buck I can send their way.

But this is different. This is the first cause I've supported. Why? Because this forum helped shape who I am. Down to my very essence. I mean, I draw tickling art, and posted my face right on that fucking page!!!

I don't come here very often. And I don't support the artists here like I should. I'm well aware of that. But this forum is the first place that opened my eyes to Tickling... Tickling Art, and my first few successful and failed relationships.

I mean, I fell in LOVE with my first artists here, and while my all time favorite did talk down to me (And talked down to my ex, when she posted in secret)- others lifted me up: Without saying a word.

It's because of artists on this forum, like Cheshire Cat and Dave113(I think that's correct? [[Correction: Dave2112?]] With the 3D model of SARAH.), that I was inspired to reach out and do art in the FIRST PLACE. Not that I talk to either of them (They are both awesome.), but that's not the point.

This is the place where I first discovered that Viviana was my favorite real life Tickling Model. This was the place where I posted my VERY FIRST Tickling picture. THIS was the place where that first pic got posted to the "Pic of the Week"... which made me feel like the biggest goddamn badass in the whole fucking world. It's in this place, that I found people actually competing with ME as an artist, as an ANYTHING for the first time in my life. This guy- This "loser" (At that point in my life.).

This is where, a lot of good things, and a few bad things happened. Which is what life is all about... and makes it worth doing the things that you know.. I do, at least.

So I'm backing this: My first official support.

And I'm gonna make a post about it too on my Deviantart. Cause we need more damn people backing this shit, JEFF!

I appreciate you sharing your story here - it really illustrates what a powerful community we are! The TMF has the kind of history and impact that most online communities can only dream of.

And I'm especially gratified that the TMF was your first patronage. I know you're going to be glad that you did once you see what we can do as a group.

I have to admit I owe the same “debt” that many of us do here. Obviously, the spirit here should be one of support and gratitude, not indebtedness, which is why I used quotes, and I do certainly hold the TMF in very high regard. I’m sure many members here share the same feelings.

On a side note, for anybody with this specific need, the tier that rewards you with body disposal assistance is a bargain, and would easily pay for itself in the event such services ever be warranted.
