Good news hit me today, I'm being promoted. Despite not having a college degree apparently the company I work for decided that I deserve a better position considering I've been working for them for almost ten years in that role. The ironic part is that they've been trying to fill this position for six months but the application requirements were so absurdly high that pretty much no one applied.

Congrats!!! I've also needed to apply for better positions, but the requirements needed, well, that's why the position isn't being filled. Danged employers want people smarter than them to apply.

I'm thinking more and more of opening my own company. I wanna be the stupid in guy in charge, who has ridiculously high standards towards people with far better education and experience than me, for a change

Eh, I'm not angry that I was literally their last possible choice or that I probably wasn't even on their list of potential employees to begin with. If anything, I'm disappointed in my superiors for not recommending me in the first place.
