Tickling fetishists, kinksters, and enthusiasts are few (though there are some indications that we are more than we tend to think).
Finding like minded partners in everyday life - tickling wise - to form relationships of any sort with – is therefore challenging.
Brainstorming with the community, along with other background research ,yielded this project; They pointed out that supporting and promoting the creation of local groups, that meet for munches, hang out, and form a local community – is the most promising strategy to facilitate real, meaningful relationships between community members.
And so, the development of “Tickles in your area”, A mobile app for Android and IOS that does just that – was started around the beginning of 2018.
Under different circumstances, a project of this sort would entail going the commercial route, raising money from investors to support the development of a mobile product and cover the substantial marketing to relevant audiences. However, not only that I would not want to take this route – it also does not look like a viable model for our community.
It does mean, however, that in order for this project to succeed – we all need to look at this project as our project, for building our communiti(s).
So let's get active, get proactive, get creative and get involved!
