UK Online Pornography Regulations Changing......

Good question! We do make some advertising money, so technically we'd qualify for that restriction. Depending on how complicated it is, we'd probably adopt the system if that's what is called for, rather than be blocked in the UK.
 
I hope you can work something out so that the UK tickle community can still access our favourite forum! Personally, I think this new regulation is nothing short of a disgrace.
 
Having said that, it seems that a lot of people in the UK are already talking about using VPNs to get around these new regulations, so maybe we won’t have to worry about being able to access the TMF from within the United Kingdom! :)
 
As an American, I must ask you British citizens - Do people in Britain fight back against this censorship? Does the government punish them if they do? What's that universe like?

In America sometimes people raise hell and the politicians back off. Or, often times people raise hell ….online, the politicians wait them out, then that's it.
Or usually people are apathetic, the Libertarians may whine about an issue on Reason.com, and it stops there.


For censorship, people usually just find a thousand ways around it, and thus it becomes neutered. They shut down one site, 20 spring up with a vengeance to take its place.
 
It's a difficult one mabus. I doubt too many people will want to get vocal about it as it's basically an admission of watching porn. It's also why I doubt too many people will be willing to give over personal details to verify their age. I am one of them. I'm very uneasy about my porn tastes effectively being held against my name that's they type of information hackers would love to get their hands on and would cause massive embarrassment for all concerned.

It's annoying because it's not even going to work. Everyone will just use VPNs to get round it. UK very much turning into a nanny state. All based on a report that teenagers kept stumbling across porn. That will happen when you search for porn on Google... Because obviously teenagers will admit they were looking at porn on purpose.
 
It would be a shame not to see people and their posts from the UK. Lots of nice things come from there.
 
Already using a VPN myself so not affected. I imagine business for NordVPN and ExpressVPN is booming right now thanks to this law.
