Hi All Tickle Producers, I've always been intrigued about how Producers start a Tickle Company up with all the behind the scenes bits and if the company always starts off as a success?

I've always had a lot of respect for the work that Producers put into their sites and have always had great experiences when interacting with Producers, I even dreamed about producing my own site at one point but to be honest I wouldn't even know where to start which is why I would love to hear people's experiences good and bad please.

Be Grateful if some of the Producers could share the following;

-How much was spent on your equipment when starting up?
-Your early experiences of starting your site?
-Do you have another job if so what do you do?
-Who was your first models you worked with and how did you get in touch?
-Funniest memory of a shoot?
-Your best selling clip?
-Do you make more money from Customs or clips on general site?
-How long do you think you will continue to produce?
-Where do you see the tickle business in the next 5 years?

Please feel free to share anything else that you feel is useful.

Regards

I'm more of a hobbyist producer but I do make money off of the videos so I'm going to respond anyway;

-How much was spent on your equipment when starting up?

The very first camera I shot with was a shitty Samsung handycam, which I do not recommend actually using to try and make anything you're attempting to sell. As smartphone cameras have evolved to being really good on their own right, I'd recommend that if you're not willing to splurge on a DSLR or higher-tier camcorder.

As far as my good equipment, the Mirrorless camera was $200 used (I got a very good deal on it, apparently similar cameras are closer to $300) and a $150 tripod that's sturdy enough to hold the camera securely enough to a variety of angles, something that allows me greater flexibility to work the room around me.

The lens I used initially was a mirrorless equivalent of the "standard" 50mm, $200. All in all my "professional" set-up, all the lenses and everything, ran me roughly $8-900. Not something you should be expected to spend upfront, but that allowed me to get the look I wanted for what I wanted to shoot.

-Your early experiences of starting your site?

I do not have a clips4sale, and opted for a Patreon membership model and personal website. Patreon seems to have exploded in popularity with producers, so it's worth looking into, however I do not "tier" off the levels of pledges (opting for a flat $5 fee) so i have no good advice to offer you on how to maximum monetary gains there.

-Do you have another job if so what do you do?

Office job at a hospital, and tbh I haven't heard anything good about being a "professional tickle porn producer" for like the past 10 years. Expect to still be working a real job if you get into this.

-Who was your first models you worked with and how did you get in touch?

Some random goth woman I approached on Model Mayhem who was nice enough to agree even though I had zero content as a reference. Was a fun afternoon. My first "professional" shoot was with fetish model Kody Evans, who just happened to see a Craigslist ad I posted and responded to it. That caught me completely off guard because I had been a fan of hers since the Ticklefiend days. In general Craigslist seems to be a very underrated source of models, as I get nearly a couple dozen inquiries every time I post one.

-Funniest memory of a shoot?

My last shoot was with a couple of friends who spent the entire time talking shit to each other. That entire day probably counts as the funniest memory I've had working fetish material.

-Your best selling clip?

The stuff with Kody seems to end up pirated more often, so that probably counts as an answer.

-Do you make more money from Customs or clips on general site?

I do not take customs.

-How long do you think you will continue to produce?

Probably well into middle age, until I become so old where it stops being charming and starts getting creepy. Nobody wants to be the "balding old fat fetish guy" people complain about, so once I realize my youth has been completely spent, I'll probably tap out.

-Where do you see the tickle business in the next 5 years?

Same as it is now. Instagram "feet girls" may make for a more interesting entry point for potential models but if shit like Keep2Share stays up I can't imagine the field being lucrative enough for anyone to stick around full time unless they already like the fetish and enjoy producing content for it.

Thank you Comfort Eagle, really interesting to see a producer that doesn't use clips4sale.

Hi All Tickle Producers, I've always been intrigued about how Producers start a Tickle Company up with all the behind the scenes bits and if the company always starts off as a success?
My husband and I started making money and selling clips pretty much right after my store opened. To be fair though I was already a fairly established fetish model who had already shot for various photographers and producers in the industry plus I have been a member of this site since 2009. I've been making more money and getting more popular the longer my store stays up.

-How much was spent on your equipment when starting up?
In the thousands because my husband and I knew we didn't want to skimp on quality. Our camcorder alone was $2,000+, then there is all the equipment we bought to go with the camcorder(Tripod, lighting, lenses, extra batteries, mic, green screen.), video editor( I use Pinnacle Studio Ultimate), and all the play furniture he built.

-Your early experiences of starting your site?
I use iWantClips and Clips4Sale. Clips4Sale is where we make most of our money and one of the things I have personally noticed is it takes at least a year for your stats to raise up to where you start getting more noticed. Our store now finally makes it into the top 50 stores for tickling every so often now.

-Do you have another job if so what do you do?
He's an industrial electrician. I'm a fetish model and offer live paid private professional BDSM sessions.

-Who was your first models you worked with and how did you get in touch?
Miss Pandora and we got in touch via FetLife. One of the perks of being a model producer is shooting trade with other models.

-Funniest memory of a shoot?
It was during my babysitter custom POV tickling clip. I was hyper sensitive that day plus the guys voice in the clip was also cracking me up. By the time we were done with that clip I was spent. At the end of the clip I stop the clip by saying, "Let's go for ice cream!" Well we actually did just that.

Ms Addams Fails to Escape! FF Foot Tickling Custom:https://www.clips4sale.com/studio/124743/21122375/Ms+Addams+Fails+to+Escape!+FF+Foot+Tickling+Custom

-Do you make more money from Customs or clips on general site?
Customs hands down!

-How long do you think you will continue to produce?
We're trying to start a family, so once that happens we'll stop or slow down. We have no plans to just completely close up our store.

-Where do you see the tickle business in the next 5 years?
Depends whether we'll both still feel up to shooting. Hopefully we'll just keep getting more and more popular or that is our goal.

Bottom line is this industry has been changing since 2001 it’s going to change every year dramatically and drastically if you can’t keep up with the changes that you might not want as well do it for yourself just enjoy everybody else’s Hardwork!

Unless you’re female and can get shoots done relatively cheap with trade it’s very difficult for a male producer to catch up and to have the same profits everything gets stolen and puts on porn hub and everybody copies your work and unless you could maintain a good reputationIt’s nearly impossible to keep producing

You have to come out with one clip a day so if you spent $1-300 on a shoot that’s $1-300 you have to spend every day to maintain

Most people don’t even know how to work a video editing software so unless you’re like me or somebody else he went to school for that it’s going to be really difficult unless you want to be a stupid iMovie producer which is really lame. I have spent 3 to 4 days editing a clip before Whether it’s mine my computer crashing adobe didn’t want to work correctly it did not save whatever the case may be.

Which almost every female artist can go ahead and have a patrion site and do it for themselves the industry is changing a lot it’s really silly to get into it at this point I feel which is why I don’t have my own store I just do customs

I had somebody pick my brain for an hour after a session I gave my adevice to probably not do it they went ahead and did it went to go book me in New York messed up everything has a horrible reputation and now I will not stop telling people about my experience with this person all because he was trying to borrow from peter to pay Mary after not taking my advice

The tickle community is a very small tightknit community as well

I spend three hours for $100 for somebody that wants to have a consultation who is serious about getting in the industry and I will help you
