When my brothers and I were growing up MAD Magazine was on the must read list every month. MAD Magazine, 1952-2019. RIP old friend.

I only ever read one Mad Magazine and that was the one that came out after Star Wars (Episode I): The Phantom Menace. It was hilarious as it made a comparison to Shaft via Samuel Jackon's Mace Windu (both of whom kick ass of course ^~).

I was fortunate enough to have a couple of pieces published in MAD back in the early 90's. They paid EXTREMELY well for
concept & copy, and then did all the hard work (art) themselves. Worked for me. Sad to see them go.
