I ask this question because I was hanging out with a couple of friends on Skype the other day, and foot tickling torture was randomly brought up in conversation for a brief moment.

Another example, I was on a webcam streaming service the other day called live.me, and I've seen tickling brought up a few times in conversation with the female broadcaster we were talking to. I don't know who it was, but he was asking her if she was ticklish, where at, etc ... so I randomly told her "u know there's an entire tickle porn industry out there" and she acknowledged her awareness of it.

It's been spreading ever since Ana and Andre went on Howard Stern in the 90s. It certainly spread with the release of the documentary "Tickled" which is probably why this site's all-time highest amount of people on the board at a single moment was around the release of that movie.

I think there's a lot of people uploading on pornhub but I seriously doubt unless people are into it the average user will give a shit. This is further validated by the prospect of if the topic of fetishes at hand gets covered at YouTube, where people will basically say "It's not my bag, I don't really care, but look what people out there are into, isn't this shit hilarious?" It's basically just internet show and tell and a contrast to media perversion of reality where there'll always be some idiot crawling in through a window to cum on someone else's feet and dive out to be reported to the police. And then of course you'll read "the guy had a tickling fetish, gotta watch for those fucks".

To them it's probably just funny sad, not funny good time fun.

I think people are becoming more aware of it as I find its easier to tell a partner who doesn't have the fetish that I have it if that makes sense ha

i agree with this. pretty much sums up my opinion on what i've seen.

I think awareness of it is spreading but much more in a "Ew look at these weirdos" sense that all fetishes have to deal with.

Agree with this and lisa's post. Sadly people are finding out about us in not the best way, and many people see people with tickle fetishes as perverts and whatever. But hey, it counts as our publicity spreading.

I think so long as the fetish is used in a way people can relate (not just the "tickle torture" but the "sex and tickling" stuff appears to go over better) that it won't develop into a problem vs a feature. I mean I used to think a long hair fetish was weird until I realized people like (but usually don't express it) the attention.

I think people have a very valid reasoning to wanting their interest to "go public" but given the social climate (as in how good people are at representing themselves) I think we're lucky we aren't a Tosh.0 feature. Things have to work themselves back from "bizarre fetish" (I mean holy shit finding material a decade ago was a mission!) To "colorful interest".

I've followed our "thing" in media since the early '90s, and it's not that tickling is gaining any real mainstream foothold, but as others have said, the notion of "get your freak on/fetishes" in general has been mainstreamed, and we're just a boutique in this mall. In entertainment media, usually it's S&M that gets the attention, a la "Pulp Fiction" and any number of dopey comedies on the past two decades. The Stern Continuum in the '90s on E! was the only place where tickling was discussed relatively often, but again, the context was "look at this weird shit"----which is OK. Rule One in my book: Thou shall not impose your fetish on anyone, or expect anyone to accept your fetish the way you do. It's your thing, and you have no right to impose it on others (I realize some of you out there have "converted" your significant others to being into it, but I don't believe in conversion, but that's just me). I'm OK being a relative outcast, as long as tickling isn't singled out. Also good to make sure you distinguish between those who are really into it, and those who view it merely as part of foreplay----which is fine, but it's not on the same level as viewing it as a truly sexual activity.

IDK, sounds like semantics. You think people can't be converted? Tickle them and see if their special spot doesn't "magically" become ticklish. Then the link is established ;)

Cinderrrr, I've recently watched a lot of VR porn, including tickling videos. They are awesome, with movements your partner would do at the same time. And the most lovely category for me is milf vr porn (over here: https://xxxreal.com/categories/mature/milf), and I'm pretty sure I saw some scenes with hew over there. I'm pretty surprised because when you watch VR porn you have to realize, that it's been filmed by modern technologies, so they are newly filmed.
