Does anyone else think this tool is antithetical to tickling. Because of the balls at the end of the claw so that it literally doesn't tickle? Is this just me?
 
I've used similar tools in sessions and it actually works pretty good. Also most hairbrushes today have tiny balls on the end of the bristles and that's a pretty effective tool. I've even heard some lees say tools that don't have balls on the ends, and therefore have sharper edges, usually hurt more that tickle.
 
yeah some of those scalp massagers / detangling things look super ouchie. Even the wetbrush hairbrushes that have the nubs on the ends of the bristles can hurt if you dont have some kinda oil or something
 
And as far as what tickles and what doesn't or what hurts and what doesn't I don't think it's a one size fits all. Somethings may be painful to one person and not hurt another. Something might not tickle one person but send another through the roof.

The balls at the end are there literally to not irritate. This thing is going to hell for folks who enjoy actual torment. It's a pain to watch the quality decline at a rate.
 
The degree these claws tickle might vary depending on the size of the balls on the ends. I've bought one and made several of my own, and pretty much all the lees I've played with have found them quite effective.
