MILF? Wtf?

I just mean that a lot of the terms and phrasing are used for clickbait reasons.

Haven't heard much controversy about the term MILF but then again, I never really considered anyone taking offense to it. I guess don't use it if a woman doesn't want to be referred to that way.

I've never once heard the term used in real life. I've never heard a guy say "Look at that MILF". [...] Seems more like an internet thing.
That would be like hearing someone say "lol" out loud. :p

Oh, I've heard it said -- and seen it texted and emailed, etc -- and not in the context of porn, either.

MILF (which I have heard in real life) sounds a lot better than some of the other descriptions you may see, but I'll let the men here ("well if I was a woman...." - but you're not...) hash it out for us

that does seem to happen quite a lot eh?

I mean, its definitely a very 'dudecentric' term... I suppose as with many things it comes down to the person being called this as to whether they'd be offended, flattered, or uncaring either way...

TBH I really only heard it used by kids in high school or in porn stories / video descriptions.

I don't think people are using it as a term of endearment but I don't think it's offensive. There is the male equivalent anyway.

And what's the alternative? "Mature" is not a sexy adjective lol

(also, how are milfs crazy ass sexual shit?)

There are guys who get real squeamish about "someone's mom", like having had a child makes a woman's parts somehow sacrosanct, or unfit for any other purpose.
So, I guess it's taboo. Never understood the whole stepbrother/stepsister thing, either.

I guess everyone has their thing, but damn. I was hoping it wasn't some thought process like a woman's body is ruined after childbirth.

Or maybe they're wanting some kinda Marshall McLuhen philosophic approach to erotica when really it's just jizz biz

Yeah, I think that's a big part of it -- an assumption that after having kids a woman is unfuckable, therefore a woman who defies that expectation is a unicorn and gets a special name. I think that's why it's often deemed to be offensive.

That said, any discussion thread that name-drops McLuhan is a win in my book.

The term seems to be used for a middle age woman.
Whether or not the woman is a mother and whether or not their appearance stands out as a woman you'd like to have sex with.

I remember a Tickleabuse video where the model was called "Milfy".
The model was for my taste not very attractive.
I wondered if Tommy had trouble committing to the M or the ILF.

Milf was a term that arose from the mainstream porn industry in the late 90's as a class designator.

Porn companies goals have always centered around identifying their product to the exact segment of the market that wants it. "Barely legal" was their first term in this direction. There came a point when the companies started to make the designation 'mature' which was applied to all women who didn't look like they were in high school, into a few classes. Milf was one of them, originally meaning "Mom I'd Like to Fuck" indicating this was a woman who was past the Barely Legal stage, had some experience and still looked great.

Marketing got to work and the term entered the popular world and as English tends to, morphed a bit on the way, The M sometimes shifted from Mom to 'Mature' and the term came to be a general case for a woman in their late 20's to early 40's who was still in "great shape" and presumed fuckable.

It's a term that thanks to its sexual connotations that carries some elements of insult and offense for many. But it's so embedded in the culture now that it's not going away and will always be tossed about like 'dame' and 'chick' and so forth have in the past and carry the same semi-negative context.
