I'm looking to modify my signature but nothing I seem to try works. Does TMF support linking pics/vids from online storage platforms like dropbox and google drive?? When I copy links to pics/gifs/vids that I have uploaded to those sites (with permissions enabled), the preview simply shows the HTML code with the link between the tags instead of that gif/pic/vid I want to be displayed. Seems simple but not working as FAQ and other threads have indicated.

Also, is there a way to delete a thread that you (I) begin without asking a moderator?

No way to delete a thread but you can put a picture or a video on your signature using html

With respect to pics and vids, can I use the toolbar items (add pic or add vid) or would you recommend going a hard coded HTML route?

Html is easiest for me. Just put the image url in
tags

I'll give that a shot.....I also think TMF interface doesn't play well with google drive so I will have to figure something out. Thank you for the responses!

Yeah it is what it is. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Hopefully you find a way to get it all to work out for you.

Oh, if you have a thread you need deleted, you can just message Myr or Jeff about it.

🙂

Google Drive does not always play nice with hotlinking (embedding media on another site). Imgur may work better. ImageShack was the go-to for as number of years.

Interesting subforum... Thank you

Also see, though you are limited to their images as far as I know, https://glitter-graphics.com/ which offers clipart and many other options.
Though your own pictures are probably much better...

One example: https://glitter-graphics.com/graphics/302764

You will see, at the bottom, this straightforward option to copy/paste the code into a forum: (Spaces input between characters so code can be viewed)

To post on Glitter-Graphics.com and forums, use this BB code:
[url =https:// www.glitter-graphics.com]
619479o1j4kg3y3o. jpg
[/url]

IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE THE SIZE --- USE THIS OPTION, where it says:

Copy this HTML code to your profile or website:
< a href="https://www.glitter-graphics.com" >< img src="http:// dl9.glitter-graphics.net/pub/619/619479o1j4kg3y3o.jpg" width=212 height=216 border=0 >< /a >< br >< a href="https:// www.glitter-graphics.com" target=_blank > glitter-graphics.com< /a >

<a href="https://www.glitter-graphics.com"><img src="http://dl9.glitter-graphics.net/pub/619/619479o1j4kg3y3o.jpg" width=212 height=216 border=0></a><br><a href="https://www.glitter-graphics.com" target=_blank>glitter-graphics.com</a>

Change the size: just change those numbers for Width & Height, keeping the same proportions (or not).
Here I just halved them to width=106 height=108:

<a href="https://www.glitter-graphics.com"><img src="http://dl9.glitter-graphics.net/pub/619/619479o1j4kg3y3o.jpg" width=106 height=108 border=0></a>

And.... perhaps this is not especially nice, :ermm: but if you don't want that "glitter-graphics.com" advertisement at the bottom,
(clicking on the image takes you to their homepage anyway...)
just DELETE THIS LAST SEGMENT of code, where you see < br > for "break" I assume, which is found at the end of all of their HTML-coded images:

< br >< a href="https://www.glitter-graphics.com" target=_blank > glitter-graphics.com< /a >

.
