Hi TMF,

I have a friend that i have sessions with and i have been trying to get her to come on this site to see if she can meet up with someone locally. She is a bit apprehensive because this is new to her.

Any advise you can give me to ease her worry (she finds this weird, like Craigslist) ? Anything you guys have to say to her?

I am also new to posting to the site. Tell her it is a great place to safely talk about fears, tickling in general, get advice on how to proceed with things and calm the fears, and to meet new people without being judged for it. I feel more comfortable talking here than to my friends and family about tickling.

I understand she is new to tickling, so am I and nervous about getting started with a ler. I have been a member here since 2003 but really never posted anything because I also was nervous about talking with people about tickling back then. Now I am starting to explore things and am trying to get advice on how to proceed safely as a woman, meet new people, and overall get answers to questions I have always had but never had the guts to ask before.

This forum has been great for me and I know once she gets in and tries it she will feel more at ease too. Feel free to have her PM me if she wants another newbie to talk to.

Well everyone in here is super friendly my university friend just joined because I been wanting to get her on here for ages because I think it will do her good to socialise with others in this fetish and I myself have been a member for years here so i made quite a lot of friends so hoping to introduce her to them, because i know their nice and not to much for her.

What I use to do is when my uni friend came round to mine to hang out I would show her some of the stories and messages and point out people who were nice i even let her see me in the chatroom (thou it was a bit different back then lol) just don't force her to much and just keep showing her snips and snags and she might come round herself

Maybe tell her there is no rush or pressure to meet or post anything. She can lurk until she feels comfortable or post intro threads until she knows it's safe or whatever she is looking for.

If she gets on and doesn't like it there is no reason she has to stay.

I'm new to the site too and am working on seeing if it is a good place. So far so good!

I would recommend following the same precautions you might follow on any other online forum, dating or social networking site. My understanding is women have more difficulty on here as far as harassment and unwanted solicitations so she may benefit from keeping a low profile for a while.

I'm not sure I understand. You said you've had sessions with her, so she's at least open to tickling, even if she is vanilla. So why would she think this forum is weird, if she doesn't think tickling is weird.

She trusts you as far as tickling is concerned, so she should trust what you recommend. Just have her put an ad in the TMF Personals section, and let her know that since she's a woman the guy's will probably respond like flies to a half eaten pie at a summer picnic. But what can they really do? I'm sure if anyone gets aggressive or abusive on the forum, she can block them or notify the mods.

I would think this would be much less intimidating than attending NEST, or a fetish party for the first time.
