Week two left the league with an unfathomable 7 players lost to torn ACLs as well as a rash of other injuries.
San Francisco lost two D-linemen for the season to torn ACLs on BACK TO BACK plays, including Nick Bosa. Along with that, Raheem Mostert and Jimmy Garappolo left with injuries and are expected to be limited this week with Mostert expected to miss next weeks game.
Giants RB Saquon Barkley was lost for the year to an ACL tear, Carolina RB Christian McCaffrey is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a high ankle sprain.
Drew Lock left Denver's game in the first quarter due to a shoulder injury, and Justin Herbert started his first game for the Chargers when Tyrod Taylor was scratched about 5 minutes before kickoff due to chest pains.
While I know this is totally random, I've got to believe some of these injuries are a result of a shortened training camp and no pre-season games due to COVID. Hopefully, this isn't how the NFL injury report is going to look every week. Darn you 2020!!!
