I love stocks but most of them are flimsy and don't appear to be very effective.

I've always been of the opinion that each genre of porn has it's basic classes of scenario.
Let's use tickling because hey, TMF.
1) The lee could be unbound.
1a) Playful tickling, no physical restraint
1b) Ler pins/hold lee down and tickles them
1c) lee and Ler 'battle' and tickle each other
2) The lee is restrained
2a) Mecanical restraints are used
2aa) Stocks
2ab) Platforms (think tickle abuses equipment)
2ac) Metal restraints (think Insex device bondage)
2b) The lee is restrained by multiple non-Lers physically (Human bondage)
2c) The lee is restrained by predicament bondage
2d to 2d∞) Infinite rope bondage postions
And that about covers it. Any tickling video you make is going to fall into this classes above (and gods know may have left a case or two out, I'm sorta rushing) and you won't find anything new under the sun until something new gets invented (Forcefield bondage just to be out there)
Every porn viewer will have preferences on what gets them off. A special cocktail of things that kits their sex drive on the nose and makes it take off like a rocket.
For some stocks will do it. For others, only stockinged feet in stocks, for others socked feet in stocks, for others lick tickling of feet in stocks. And on and on and on.
If it doesn't 'work' for you it's boring, or tiresome. Sure you may get benefit out of some of the other aspects of the video (How the lee laughs and responds) but the stock part, you could care less, and are apt to say "If only this girl was tickled {fill in YOUR preferred way from the above list}"
If your "way" is not one of the most popular ways videos are made, you will be bored and disappointed with most clips.
But such is the way of things. This of course generalizes up to just about any thing we 'like' from regular sexual positions, to even what like to eat for dinner. There are only so many possible variations we can access. And if our favorites are not easily found we get grumpy. (I wouldn't mind a steak once a week, but I can't afford that, so if I see one every year or two that's a lot. And the old Turkey sandwich that I DO see a few times a week gets a bit of shade as a result.

Buy more creative videos, and there will be more of them put out.
This depends on 2 things.

If you like seeing females tickled then yes buy more creative videos but for those of us who like seeing guys tickled there isn't much creative content available. For instance, I've always liked heavy medieval type stocks and buried in sand scenes which there has been plenty of female content over the years that use both these setups but hardly any with males.

Piracy is the reason why producers won't make creative videos as they will just end up on pornhub or other sites so they won't spend more money to make creative content that people will end up watching for free. There will always be dickheads who will upload tickling videos to pornhub and there is nothing we can do to stop them.

Suggesting to be creative is not much of a suggestion. Do you have any specific ideas or just do some thing different than what your complaining about.
"I'm so tired of videos with modes in stocks" is a complaint. "Vids with stocks snore" is a complaint. I read what you wrote. Do you do not understand what you wrote?

I'm not tired of stocks, but I'd like to see some more elaborate/creative bondage, such as in a lot of the kink.com labels (hardtied, devicebondage etc). What I AM kinda tired of is the use of 'obligatory' tools such as electric toothbrushes, combs, wartenberg wheels etc.
