Attachments (images, videos) from old post disappear

Hi

I was navigating some old posts (2008-2013 I'd say) on the forum and I don't know why but attachments to threads and comments (images, videos, ecc.) seem to randomly get canceled from them
I don't think they are canceled by the OP because the problem seems to be random, even in the same posts there are some comments that still have the attachments and some others that don't
And the message doesn't show any recent modifications

Is there any way to recover this material or is it forever lost? Thanks

I forgot to post a link to a thread to prove my point. Sorry about that but it would take some time. If It's necessary to troubleshoot I'll find the time to attach the link to an example of a thread where media got cancelled

The forum experienced a database crash around the 2012-2013 timeframe, and most all attachments from that period and before were lost (forever).
