Does Canelli Renfaire still put people who don't pay in stocks and tickle them?

So I heard Canelli has this tradition where every 3rd week of June, the whole town becomes one big renfaire. Normally you have to pay to get in, but if you don't pay and they catch you apparently you got put in the stocks and tickled. So you can either pay to get in or you can not pay and risk being put in stocks and tickled.

I was wondering if they still do this? I could find nothing about this online and it's not like this even has a Facebook page or anything. If it doesn't, are there any other faires in Europe that do something similar?
 
What you've heard is true about Canelli and yes there are a few more renfaires in europe that do this. It's a bit weird with Canelli though, years ago this guy Marco set this up at Canelli and sold the videos but then got found out and was kicked out of the faire because of this. Marco's videos are the older lower quality clips I believe.

What I don't get is who was running the stocks after Marco had been thrown out since more stocks footage was being recorded with much better quality in the 2010's and why did Canelli allow this to continue after they had got rid of Marco? I've asked this before but it seems nobody knows.
Any type of renfaire content is always kept hush hush until it get's leaked online as they are sold and traded between private collectors at high prices. It's more frustrating for us into males being tickled as male renfaire content is even more heavily guarded than all the female videos you see everywhere online.

Seems pretty plausible that whomever took this over might have simply began asking participants for consent in advance.

The girls in most of videos from the early 2000s did look truly surprised when the tickling started. I'm not sure that's still the case.

You're probably right there, in the later Canelli clips you see the guards speaking to visitors before they get into the stocks but what about the camera guys? The organisers of Canelli knew what Marco was doing with the videos he had recorded so are they not aware that whoever took over the stocks still has guys filming? Surely the organisers would be checking the stocks to make sure nobody was recording it after what happened with Marco.

The problem here is that you have a lot of people *not* affiliated with creepy fetish people *also* filming at Renfaires, so unless you issue a blanket ban on video cameras, stuff is going to slip through. That said, yes; I'm a bit surprised they don't seem to be more diligent about it. Maybe someone needs to let them know it's still going on...

...and somehow I doubt that consent obtained includes "let me post your likeness on Pornhub for everyone to masturbate over".
 
So there is still tickling in stocks going on at canelli renfaire

If you were to go to Canelli Renfaire in either 2021 or if that's cancelled due to corona 2022, then you would still see plenty of tickle stocks? Also, do they still only do it to people who do not pay for tickets?

Also, I get that if a girl were to go in without tickets they would be tickled in stocks, but what about guys? Do they get tickled too or is there some other punishment for them?

It's hard to say if Canelli still has the stocks, we only know when any new content appears. I think the latest renfaire videos that were shared came from around 2016 or 2017 if anyone can clarify.

Yes guys DO get tickled too but there is hardly any content online to show for it sadly. Usually females are put in the stocks where their hands are strapped above their heads and guys are put in the ones where their hands are also in stocks in front of them, it looks like they do this with couples although I have seen 1 picture of a guy in the stocks with his hands strapped above. Guys are filmed as well, in some of the compilation videos you could clearly see a camera guy filming the guy next to the woman but it's a mystery as to where these videos are now as nobody ever shares the male videos. I think in total there has been about 4 or 5 clips of guys tickled compared to the hundreds of female clips, most annoying for some of us!

I've heard in the past that people threw hissy fits over any renfaire content that wasn't female so they discarded a lot of the male videos, if this is true I hope those renfaire collectors lose all their content :evilha:.
 
I agree that in today's era of ubiquitous cell phone video, these kinds of festivals and faires can have literally hundreds of people recording all kinds of goings-on every day.

Since they'd never get people to hand over their cell phones, they can never know the next moment some new person might decide to record.

Then if those clips are on YouTube, just like a bunch of other Renfaire content on YouTube, it might be hard to make the case that one consensual public Renfaire YouTube clip is okay, but these other consensual public Renfaire YouTube clips must be taken down. Why? Because we suspect X% will see the second clip sexual. (Whereas the first Renfaire YouTube clip with the "wench" in her cleavage-bearing shirt or the one with the belly dancers aren't seen as sexual by anyone?) It becomes rather subjective quite fast.

Please don't contact them - that's a pretty safe way to stop the stocks on this renfaire...
 
Hmmm, so they have stocks, but if they get a bunch of people calling them up and asking about it, they might just decide to scrap it? Interesting
 
Don't want to upset anyone, but the problem with those videos was that even though “victims” accepted to get tickled, they were not aware that someone else intended as sexual what they played as it was just a joke.
 
I think a certain type of young person raised in the Pornhub era think, "Everyone wants money -- Of course they'll love being contacted by dozens or hundreds of horny guys asking if a certain fetish will be on public display at the Renfaire."

They don't understand that some people and businesses don't want that kind of attention or revenue -- and will actively take steps to eliminate it.

There will always be people out there who's sexual interest will overtake their way of thinking, they will stop at nothing to get their kicks and they don't care how it affects others. These type of people have always been a pain whatever their interests are. Back when the internet became more accessible more of these arseholes started to rear their ugly heads and the online world will never be rid of them unfortunately. There is a lot them who are members here but what can be done about them?
 
I take your point, but maybe see it a little differently.

Empathy and in general learning to understand the world through other people's eyes -- not just your own -- is a skill most people develop as they mature. There's no doubt that when I was a lot younger, I did it a lot less.

One thing that's both good and bad about the internet is that grown ups often end up directly interacting with immature kids in ways that would have never happened before. When the kids can learn from those interactions, it's a good thing (even as it tries our patience).
 
Maybe some of these fairs can be a bit more transparent with what they offer and their intentions, will solve a lot of the issues
