Do feathers really tickle? It's been my experience in the past that feathers don't really tickle much, but can anyone else tell me different?

What have others experienced??

Feathers tickle? I'm almost ashamed to have the name Featherfingers, now that I think about it. Feathers have never been useful to me when it comes to tickling... not the standard "vanilla world" idea of feathers anyway. I've used a feather boa which didn't really tickle as much as it soothed and made the lady beg for more. I use it on the top of her feet or on her back... yowza! Anyway, feathers just don't work like good ol' fingers do. I'd change my name to "Fingerfingers" but that just sounds redundant...and silly.

I know that I don't respond at all to the touch of a feather. Well, ok, maybe if you use the quill end. :D I was disappointed to learn that, as I was under the impression that feathers tickled, so if anyone is actually ticklish from the touch of a feather, please speak up!

My feet have been tickled by feathers which had me squirming, laughing course just blowing on my cute little toes gets me going:eek:

Feathers don't work for me all that well when i'm tickling her, so i just rely on the good ole fingers :) imaging 10 fingers dancing on your soles continously

Good question. One that I have thought of many times. I have never really believed that Feathers tickle enough to bring out a good hardy laugh. Never worked on me, and I truly believe that the lee only laughs to please the ler when feathers get used. I know it happens in alot of the poorer quality video's I've seen.

A good stiff feather can be quite effective on highly ticklish feet (as I've personally discovered :wow: ). Saw it between the toes and you'll have to pull me off the ceiling!

Mimi ;)

Feathers can be useful, but their association with being an all-conquering tickling weapon is largely exaggerated. They're best used to floss between the toes and with the point to "write" across the soles.

They can be pretty effective well into a tickling session though, as nerve ending can become more sensitive after alf an hour or so. All depends how they're used.

Good post. I am interested in hearing about other persons'sensitivity to feather tickling.

I did not used to think that feathers would tickle me but they do tickle me a lot. When a tickler first ask me if I was feather sensitive, I replied that I did not think so. To my surprise, I screamed with laughter as soon as my soles were feather tickled. Since then I have been tickled almost all over with feathers and have found that I am generally very ticklish to feathers.

The feathers have to be of the stiffer variety rather than the fluffier sort of feather in order to tickle a lot. A peacock feather is an example of the stiffer variety.

I suspect that it takes a person who is extremely tickish to light touch tickling to be feather sensitive. I would imagine that people who are sensitive only to firmer touch tickling such as squeezing the knees or poking the ribs or scratching the soles would not be at all feather sensitive. I am very sensitive to both light and firm touch ticking except some firmer touch ticking like a hair brush used on the soles is painful to me.

This leads me to comment that the quill end of the feather can be a very effective tickling tool for both ticking the soless of persons who are sensitive to light and/or firm touch tickling.

fethers

feathers are not the MOST effective thing for me, but they have worked on me and for me in the past. :)

It must depend on the individual's sensitivity. For myself, having a feather dragged between my toes is torture. And I'll never forget being driven insane by 2 feathers being used in both my armpits at the same time.

Just my 2 cents.

Not weird, just a ticklers Dream. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZSYYYYYY97US' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_8_4v.gif' border=0></a>

I agree that the quill end of the feather is very effective for tickling. And also the stiffness of the feather can determine weather it tickles or not also. Good ideas.

Feathers or light touches are just the beginning for me before I explode into a Lee roaring with laughter

Ps: Feathers have proved to me to be maddeningly ticklish when fluttered around on the toes, soles ,neck, ears as well as others:D

:feets: YES! FEATHERS CAN BE DEVASTATING ON MY SOFT SOLES AND TICKLISH TOES! OH, YOU WOULDN'T DARE TICKLE MY BAREFEET WITH THAT FEATHER. HAH,HAH,HAH,HAH,HAH,HAH,HAH,HAH,HAH,HAH,HAH,HAH,HAH,HAH,HAH...

I've always found feathers to be a very effective tickle tool but as Big Jim mentioned using them well into a session once your ticklee's nerve endings have been ultra-stimulated & their body super sensitized is when I too find they are at their best.

As far as the feet go, there are some folks that are sensitive to feathers but not many. Between the toes could be effective. Other than that, the only part of the feather that works on my victims is the quill....I have had people sensitive to feathers on other parts of the body, but for the most part, I have found that they aren't very effective

It definitely depends on the lee's sensitivity.

Works for me in certain spots only, but there is just nothing at all to me like fingers. I have said it before, and I know that tools are a lot of people's jams... breads and butters... etc. LOL LOL.... And I am not saying that they don't work because they do. But skin on skin just feels absolutely amazing. Just the energy, the intimacy- Everything about it!

So! Feathers are pretty. Gimme those hands. :D

I find feathers extremely ticklish over most of my body, sends me into hysterical laughter!

A friend of mine has non-ticklish feet however I've tickled his bare feet while he was asleep with feathers have gotten some toe wiggling and twitching.
