In the spirit of the holidays, let me send you this lovely friendship greeting to my new friends at TMF. Happy Thanksgiving!

Are you tired of the mushy "friendship" wishes that always sound
good but never actually come close to reality? Well, here is a "friendship" wish that really speaks to true friendship and truth itself ...
Friend,

When you are sad, ...I will get you drunk and help you plot revenge
against the sorry bastard who made you sad.

When you are blue, ...I'll try to dislodge whatever is choking you.

When you smile, ...I'll know you finally got laid.

When you are scared, ...I will rag you about it every chance I get.

When you are worried, ...I will tell you horrible stories about how
much worse it could be and to quit whining.

When you are confused, ...I will use little words to explain it to
your dumb ass.

When you are sick, ...stay away from me until you're well again. I
don't want whatever you have.

When you fall, ...I will point and laugh at your clumsy ass.
This is my oath, ...I pledge 'till the end. Why you may ask? Because
you're my friend!

P.S. A friend will help you move. A really good friend will help you
move a body.

I guess my post is an outlet for me to express what I am feeling right now. I don't believe I am in violation of any posting rules. I have read the posts from Jeff and administrator. Perhaps the moderator could give an opinion on what I have written.

I think that it is unrealistic for you to expect that all members of the TMF are going to be happy 24 hours a day. Real people have feelings, and can be sad around the holidays. I am sad right now. I guess in a way I am trying to reach out to someone who might be able to offer some support tonight. My heart is broken.

Aah, Red Indian is just venting a bit Helena...pay him no mind with his little cynical jabs, because his heart is in the right place, way deep deep deep down...somewhere. As for your post, it falls under the category of "funny" and is therefore exempt from further scrutiny and being picked on by certain members jealous of your sense of humor..* cough*. I know what you mean about the holidays also...it's traditionally been a time of sorrow in my family circle. Perhaps spring will make an early appearance... Q

Seems a rules clarification is needed.

When we say posiitve we are not talking about a trip to Caresalot land for every post in every thread.

What we mean is that members will treat each other with respect in their posts. You are free to disagree with others all you like, but back up your arguments with real facts and constructive discussion. Basically, conduct yourself in a way that is a positive contribution to the forum.

Helena, liked that one. Saw it before, and liked it then, too. It's highly likely that red was just crackin' wise, in an overseas fashion. Once y'realize that he kids most often, y'look for the humor there, and there's plenty of it.
