I think celery tastes okay but whenever I eat it, I end up with this stupid little bolus of string in my mouth...I simply can't tolerate that! Which is a shame, because it's really ideal for holding peanut butter.

It's okay to cook with, and it adds crunch to tuna salad. Too often people put big chunks of it into food at that's not good.
I don't care much for it on its own, it's usually very alkaline tasting (rather soapy).
