I am a road construction worker. I am currently laid off for the winter, I will return to work in April. I may be setting myself up here, but I would love to hear your comments and opinions about those road delays and miles and miles of ORANGE BARRELS. Now is your chance. PLEASE BE GENTLE, I only work behind them I don't live with them. I know your pains. :idunno:

I don't mind orange barrels. :D
What I really hate is the miles of concrete barrier/no shoulder on a highway, so that I am driving with concrete inches to my left and big trucks inches to my right. :(

I live very close to a freeway that's being renovated. (It's the 22, for those that are familiar with my area.) I don't mind the construction, because I realize it's necessary, and I'm used to traffic (I've lived in Southern California all my life). What I hate is the nerve some drivers have. They try to get ahead of you by driving right up to where the lane ends. Would it kill them to merge a few cars back? Sheesh.

Tell me about it. I know I have been on a highway at night and a car has to pass that tractor trailor right before the lane closure and you are standing 100' from it and the only thing stopping them is a barrel and a prayer.

Between Barstow, Ludlow, and Primm, Nevada, there has been alot of accidents in the past year. And Stoddard Wells Rd. in Victorville doesn't make the drive any easier.

Ah yes, the infamous Garden Grove 'freeway' (22). I know it well.

Also know Stoddard Wells Rd., I've eaten at the Dennys there many times going to and from Vegas.

He's right. Although we are constantly reminded to slow down and keep our seat belts on, we take for granted the road in which we travel.

^I hate those squeeze situations especially with trucks.^

I saw a lot of orange barrels and cones on my trip to and from the Pottstown munch yesterday.

There are a lot of orange barrels and cones around nowadays.
