I remember a very similar, locally produced commercial for a Mom-n-Pop shoe store. It ran on TV29, Niagara Falls, about 1963. Full screen shot of a bare sole, with narrator talking about measuring for a proper fit and illustrating by drawing on the sole with a magic marker. Each stroke caused a little giggle. Finally he applied a sticker/seal of approval. Last part, you see the 'lee, a girl my age at the time (12 maybe), who says, "Please, sir, can I have my shoes now?"
I saw it twice and got a woody both times. The ad agency guy must have been one of us. There's no hope of ever finding it again.
