Depending upon where you live, and what the weather is like, is how well you would see the Leonid meteor storm. This years display will perhaps be the most dramatic showing of these 'shooting stars' until perhaps the year 2033.

I made it out for the peak time for the US Midwest between 4am and 5am, and I can tell you it was worth the effort to stay awake. I lost count after awhile, but I can say with confidence that I witnessed about 50-60 falling meteors that stretched across the early morning sky. Which is not bad at all considering that the moon is nearly full blocking out most of the fainter shooting stars.

If you missed it, don't worry, I'm sure they'll have it up on MSN or CNN's website soon enough so you can see the whole light show in about 30 seconds or so. I just wanted to see it for myself in person, and again, it was worth it. :)

Have a great day, I'm going back to sleep. :D
