This is a piece I did based on an AI picture: someone prompted "tickling" a couple years ago, when results would still look extra weird, and I looked and painted whatever I saw rising from the weird shapes. It's probably why it still retains some of the shape language, but otherwise, there's some order to the chaos.
This is probably as close as I've gotten to using AI

To be honest, that's a great use of the technology; years ago I used to use a little program named Alchemy which produced wildly random shapes whilst sketching. Same principle, you refine whatever forms you see in the "cloud" of shapes. Very nice work

I actually started using it after watching a DVD (!) on open source digital painting by the french illustrator David Revoy. "Chaos and Revolutions " it was called... still a pretty good set of tutorials to this day, I would say
