The date for NEST is the first weekend (full or partial) of May every year.
It's been set that way for several years, and will continue to be that date.
NEST has happened in April, May, June, I believe one in July and also in Oct.
Before I set the date for the first weekend in May, far too much time was
spent trying to figure out who could come and who could not. Knowing the
dates in advance makes every last thing run far more smoothly.
Although this date does interfere with at least one other event I know of,
for most people, having a consistent date is a really good thing. It does often
mean that students are still taking finals, and unable to make it one year,
and of course, some people have work duties which prevent them from
coming, but it really is the perfect time of year to have an event in Philly,
due to weather, (all snow gone, not too hot) and it's before Memorial Day,
when the price of travel goes up, it avoids (generally) all other major holidays.
I will not be changing the date for one or even more persons, so unless 140
people PM me one year and ALL asked me for the exact same different date,
