Shannon Moeser worked at the tail-end of the burlesque era, from 1962 to 1963, when striptease was becoming stripping, and adult men's magazines as porn would soon be replaced by explicit pornography that showed everything. She's one of the disappearing last of her kind.
(Interesting trivia is that the woman she roomed with in Hollywood eventually became the mother of actress Laurie Holden, most famous as Angela on The Walking Dead & Ben Grimm's fiancé in The Fantastic Four.)
But last of her kind or not, at 80 Shannon enjoys signing and selling her modeling pix. She worked with several photographers, usually with Ron Vogel as Gloria Dawn (she was so naïve that she accidently used her real name as her stage name back then) & with Elmer Batters as Donna Cole (he also gave her other names, but Donna was the most common one)
She has also sorts of items to sign, in addition to more Batters photos, including an unpublished image of just her soles & calves in a convertible. She was more interested in being a figure model (she was going to act) and doesn’t seem to really be into what Batters was doing with his feet/leg shoots. I get the feeling her attitude seems to be that of many people when encountering a fetish; she even wrote to me once something like “I guess people like their own different things,” as she pondered why Elmer Batters would take such odd photos.
But these Vogel & Batters images are still treasures to me, from a time in adult modeling mostly gone. The only other models that I am aware of who modeled with Batters were a woman in LV who used to advertise her pictures in Leg Show magazine, and B-movie actress & tickling video pioneer Michelle Bauer. There must be more, but where are they?
I think there is a bit of a rarity to these: a model from the Kennedy-era signing some of her foot fetish material. I may post more of my Batters stuff, but she has a Tumbler you can look into as well, maybe even get something for yourself
