Those of us on the East Coast are dealing with this snowstorm.

All week, www.weather.com kept saying.

"Light Snow and Flurries.. With A Total Snowfall of 1-3 Inches.

Were They Wrong!

We are currently experiencing Heavy, Blowing Snow in New York City.

There is a Winter Storm Warning In Effect until 11 pm tonight.

Total Accumulations are forecast to be 6 to 8 inches.

This reminds me of a less severe version of the Blizzard of 1996.

That Storm, for those of us who lived in the NYC area and remember it, was originally supposed to be a total of 6 inches.

Again, the weather was completely wrong, and NYC received 21 inches.

The largest snow total, I believe, until the "Mega Snow" on my birthday, January 23, 2016 of 30 inches.

I'm sick with a cold right now, so I'm home, and mostly, in bed. .

In addition to the snow, we are having brutally cold temps.

A real, winter punch.

I know that cities south, and north of NYC, have gotten it/are supposed to get it even worse then we are.

You guys got more than they said you would. Down here, we got less than they said we would (part of the same system?). Not that we're complaining....

No white stuff here but when I got up this morning it was 24 degrees with wind chill in the teens. Cold again tomorrow and chilly Monday but by Tuesday we'll be in the mid 70s the rest of the week. :D

Binghamton NY hasn't received so much as an inch. Lucky us I guess.

As for the weather, expect things to get more and more erratic as the years go on dude.

Climate change is going to make predicting the weather very hard to do and the more carbon we put up in our atmosphere the more things will speed up.

Mid-70's in January sounds great to me! I must consider moving to Texas when the time comes to relocate. :D

Considering the fact that the temp here in NYC is in the low 20s currently , mils, with high winds, and brutal wind chills of about 5 degrees
