I was wondering what would happen is a popular VIP, like a hollywood actor, such as Brad Pitt, or Julia Roberts, or Oprah, or somebody respected and really on the public eye would come "out" as a member of the TMF?, would suddently became "in" to be a member or to have a taste for it? Or the public figure would be burnt as a freak?

I suppose for a time the TMF would be on the spotlight, but I do not know if tickling would be accepted more as common foreplay.

What do you think?
 
I doubt it would change much in the long run. I know for a fact that we have at least one famous actress on here under an assumed name. She has mentioned her tickling interest in magazine interviews, and the only real response is that a few members here spotted the interview and shared it on the forum. And of course, there's the famous clip of Drew Barrymore discussing her love of being tickled for relaxation on some talk show. It's been posted several times on here. I think we just expect things like this from our Hollywood stars. From the profession that gave us Tom Cruise, somebody who likes tickling is tame!

I do feel that as a society, we have a double standard. A Hollywood celebrity could reveal a tickling fetish and nobody would think twice, but if it were revealed that, say, Dick Cheney were on here, that would get a different reaction. (Yeah! We'd all duck!)

Okay , so which famous person are you? I would like to get general acceptance of tickling commonplace and under way already, and having a nod from some famous celeb(s) seems to be the only way to do that. Please, de-lurk and come "out" If you do, I will, and I'm sure so will many others.
 
If anyone famous is on here as a member, they could be held anonymous and still play with us if they attended the main event of NEST in Philadelphia. Nest folks are very respectful of privacy, if that is what the person wanted.

I would like to make an inference here: The reason that tickling no longer occurs on the show / or if so, rarely and it is brought about by someone OTHER than Howard/ is because Howard truely DOES have this fetish, and like many of us here, does not want to be found out for fear of embarrassment. Interesting that you bring this up, because my view had always been the exact opposite.

My thought was that he had little interest, but that tickling was as much as he could get away with on terrestrial radio. Once on satellite, his true passion, forced orgasm, was now obtainable and that’s why the tickle chair is colleting dust. With everything he’s exposed about himself on the air, he probably doesn’t think tickling is any big deal, but I’m sure he’ll be chiming in on this thread any minute to explain for himself. {holding breath}

I hear what you're saying.... and my first instinct is that you, yourself have an inside track on this info... maybe you're the more analytical one who makes regular appearances on the wrap-up show and a personal friend of his.... just an observation.
