This is one of the first tickling mainstream clips I ever saw, where Bluto peels back the sole of Olive's shoe.

Just out of curiousity...Does anyone have the full episode where this scene comes from on tape? I would be glad to make a generous trade or even pay for it.

I know the original cartoon is called 'Bridge Ahoy' and I believe it came out in 1936. THe original was in b/w and a colorized version came out later.
 
I must ask again...

Does anyone have a longer version or a better quality clip?

One of the two greatest Popeye cartoons ever, the other of course being the one where they're on the ghost ship and Olive gets tickled in bondage by cats licking her feet.
 
Yeah, I've seen that one too...

Don't know the title off-hand. I prefer the 'Bridge Ahoy' sequence definitely; more extreme + better laugh. (I really wish I could find the original b/w version - I think the recorded dialogue was different) I'll see what I can find on 'Toonopedia' later.

can the clip be modified?

Is there any way you can work your clip editing magic and somehow make the clip clearer? It seems you are always able to take clips and convert them to WMV files and they seem to look alot better.

I straightened out the video a bit more and sharpened the cartoons some as well as put it in wmv format. :couch:
