Well, I am going to tonight's Atlanta Braves-Philadelphia Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. Luckily, the weather seems to have cleared, so they should get the game in, but, for my team, the Atlanta Braves, they will likely be playing this game tonight without their two best home run hitters, Andruw and Larry Wayne (Chipper-dont call me Larry) Jones.
According to the newspaper, Chipper injured his side in Friday night's game, and likely will not play, while Andruw "might" play. The Braves have been having enough trouble this year winning games when all their best people are healthy. No Chipper, plus no Andruw, plus Phillies ace Bret Myers, just seems to not spell good things for the Braves. It would be nice if they could win this game, since they havent won with me there since 2002, with losses in 2003 and 2004. I was supposed to go to a game last year, but adhered to a forecast of severe weather, didnt go, and the Braves won big. Maybe tonight is my payback for not showing up last year, as all their best people wont play.
Oh, well, I only go once a year, so even if the Braves do lose, I can always enjoy the crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd, and the Donald Trump like food prices. Heck, I'm only there three hours a year, so, even if Atlanta does lose this game, I will just try to sit back and have fun anyway. Play Ball!
