Well, this was my big experiment in breaking stories into parts and alternating between two stories, and I would say it worked well. I am almost always somewhat unmotivated (about life in general, not just writing), but this kept burnout to a minimum - relatively short periods of writer's block hindered both stories, but I also had some moments of major productivity, putting out multiple installments within a month. Next Ashley Grable story is almost ready!

As the title says, I am getting close to posting the next part of Working Late! I just passed my target wordcount for it today, but there is still a little to be done before it is ready; hopefully I can post it this weekend 3/19/23

I have not had much time to work on writing since my last post; however, I was able to do some today. Mostly, I outlined a future story that I am excited about. It will not interfere with the publication of either of my current stories; I will write it in conjunction with the next Ashley Grable story, much like how the current one is being written alongside the first Megan Huntley story. 2/27/23 Story Progress Update

Working Late part 1 is published! That took about a month and a half to write; hopefully Window of Opportunity part 2 is a little quicker, perhaps by a couple of weeks. I would not mind getting each part done in about a month; that would have me finishing both stories by about August and posting the next in April. 2/13/23 Story Progress Update

Still working on Working Late, Part 1, and it is coming along nicely! I had initially planned for the tickling in part 1 to end just when it was getting good, as a teaser for the later parts; however, I want each part to be satisfying in its own right when published, so I extended it a bit. When Working Late is finished and compiled I might edit the initial tickling back to more of a tease, but I think I like the imagery enough in the added part that I might just keep it. |
