I'm mostly self taught. I took art in high school from age 15-17, then worked on my own until I went to college for art in 2008.
The best advice I can give you is draw, and draw often. Draw from real life, and use reference from pictures etc. Practice, and you'll always get better. You can tell I got better through my Annie issues. It's just because I've been drawing/practicing all the way through

Thank you so much!!! Yes, I've definitely gotten a LOT better over time. Annie #1 was all digital, then I moved to pencil and ink for issues #2 and #3 then scanned and coloured them digitally - then #4 has gone back to all digital. Issue #5 will be digital as well, it's just easier for me to work that way
