60 Seconds: On Tryptophan and thankfulness

by thetmfobserver on 11-23-2011 at 06:49 PM
I haven't been on nearly as much lately, but I wanted to take a minute to wish all of my TMF brethren, both in the US and abroad, a happy, healthy and safe holiday season.

Here, in no particular order, are some of the TMF things I am thankful for...

1. The mods, for keeping this place running.

2. The artists, writers, producers, and other content providers who make this place a treasure trove of tickle-related delights.

60 Seconds: Advice

by thetmfobserver on 10-16-2011 at 05:58 AM
I used to be an amateur psychologist. Back in high school / college, I seemed to always be the person people went to when they had troubles. I can't begin to count the number of nights spent staying up until the wee hours, discussing problems with significant others, parents, work, etc. I dispatched advice, and I thought life was grand.

I couldn't tell you what it's about, except there's someone named Scout. Boo Bradley, I think. And Gregory Peck was in the movie.

Other than that, I'm drawing a blank. Racism, maybe? A trial?

60 Seconds: Compassion

by thetmfobserver on 10-13-2011 at 03:25 PM
Caring for your fellow man is something that has been lost in today's educational world.

We spend so much time focusing on teaching kids to read and write, add and subtract that we sometimes forget to teach how to be kind, decent individuals.

Would you rather live in a world of literate assholes or compassionate people who are less educated?

It's not much of a question to me.

60 Seconds: One Word

by thetmfobserver on 10-13-2011 at 04:52 AM
I was playing around with StumbleUpon yesterday, and came across a website.

Quite simple really. You are given a word, and have 60 seconds to write about it.

Sounds like a perfect idea for me to borrow for this blog, no?

We'll start later today, if I remember.
