Not exactly Avengers vs. JLA, but there was a series in the 90's of DC vs. Marvel. In that series: Superman beats Hulk Batman fights to a draw against Captain America Storm beats Wonder Woman The Flash beats Quicksilver Spider-Man beats Superboy Wolverine beats Lobo Iron Man beats Green...

Batman can beat anyone in a fight, Superman included, provided he has enough time to prepare properly. If Superman says "I'll meet you by the flagpole at 3:30 after class", Batman will have a winning strategy by 3:30. If Superman just sucker punched him out of the blue one day, Batman loses...

Guess what I found in my DVD collection a week ago! :D The early 90's had a world of really great animated series, but ReBoot was a standout amongst all of them. Terrific story, characters and it was the first fully-CGI ANYTHING, ever. Sad that it'll never get the finale it deserves...
