Fair enough question. Yes, this is how the site will continue on. As HDS mentioned, it will be extremely unlikely we will be able to restore the corrupted database. My apologies again to those who've lost posts and attachments made to the board. I hope you will find it in you to post them...
Then you would have to do it again, but at this point it is unlikely we'll get the database restored so it's best to assume this is the way the site will be moving forward. The difference being dual backups compared to just relying on the host to make them.
No worries, I just want to keep everything regarding this matter in one spot for easier reading and understanding rather than several sporadic postings. It's all good. :cool
Yes, the USER table in particular was corrupted and only had 23 entries in there out of the 10's of thousands there should be. The THREAD table is completely gone, but the POST table which contains information on both the other tables is still there. That's why there exists a possibility of...
Let's try to keep all questions and comments regarding the recent site issue in a centralized location. Please use the appropriate news thread already posted.
I will be turning the site back on momentarily just as soon as I get done saving the backup database after setting it back up and updating it to a functioning status. Please be sure to read the posted Notice on the forum to get updated on the situation.

I will be working on the site some more tonight to bring back some of the mods we are currently missing. I also will need to setup the Stories Section again, along with any recent Hosted Author/Artist sections once more. The board should be fully stable and functioning as I said, but if you...
For those who haven't been on the past couple days, unfortunately I must inform you now that the TTC had a database corruption Friday evening which wiped out some tables. It became unusable, and the backup we currently have available to us is from late March.
The site has been reloaded...
Worse case scenario we go forward with the backup from March. I am looking at any and all options to restore the current database, and will be taking the site offline in the later hours this morning to work on it.
For the record I was assured that we had backups running from our managed...
Whoops... my mistake. I went to go add another New Posts link in the actual dropdown menu, and noticed I had it linked wrong. You should be able to only see new posts now if you click either NEW POSTS or View New Posts.
The Today's Post was the link I was accidentally using before...
Uh huh... I'll keep that Izzy thing in mind...
Anyway, you should see a menu bar across the top of the board and if you click on NEW POSTS it will show you all the new posts. :cool
No problem, I got the perfect thread for it. Moved. :)
With the navigation the way it is now it wouldn't be possible. If we switched back then we'll consider implementing it again.
