Oh yeah, I'm definitely still one of those people who communicates better through writing. Hence my current inability to shut my trap. 😛
*laugh* Maybe it was rude of me to generalize like that. I've found that, in my circle of writer friends, we all have a tendency to be very verbose when we have the floor, but will be respectful & make great listeners when it's not our turn to talk. I tend to talk way too much, especially if I'm nervous...unless I'm completely uncomfortable in a situation, in which case I clam up. 😛
I'm just naturally verbose. I think it's a writer thing. 😛 I had a different position at the library; my basic duties were to take the materials that had been returned and reshelve them, and I used to love it, but doing it for too long & working too many hours started to burn me out.
It's definitely very satisfying to know that I no longer dread going to work in the morning, and when I leave work for the day, I look forward to going back! It's a lot more responsibility, yet it's somehow less stressful. And now I'm babbling. 😛
Oh, I love it. I'm a writer and a bookworm, so having access to pretty large collections of materials is a dream. Plus, I have great coworkers, and I feel like the job I'm doing was made for me. 🙂 But enough about me.
