I only have a set few websites I know of that are interesting, and I'm sure there are more out there.

Ideas?

I like cracked, aol news, yahoo news, reddit...basically where I can read articles or current events written well or witty.

But I'm open to any ideas. Gaming websites, other article sites, etc. I really am just looking for some new websites to kill time on.

Help a sista out.

I like mentalfloss.com a lot, it's sort of like cracked but with more science and fewer dick jokes.

hellogiggles.com is pretty addicting for me, even though its intended for women, you could also try FML, failblog and wherecoolthingshappen. Errr, if you really wanna kill some time i suggest checking out "for the love of physics" with walter lewin. its quite intriguing.

I don't know if you want to play a daily game..but.. I've belonged to a website called Hollywood Stock Exchange.com. It should be www.hsx.com. You sign up with a name and password, and they start you with $2 million of their virtual money, and the object is to trade, etc actors, actresses, TV shows and movies. I've been on it for almost four years ,and find it fun.

Hope that helps.

Hmmm, I definitely frequent reddit a lot. I also like the avclub for entertainment and book articles and reviews. Giantbomb is good for gaming and TEDtalks is a good place for intellectual lectures. I guess it just depends on what you really want to see/hear. Hope I helped =]

I often go to tvtropes.org. That site is VERY addictive, especially if you write stories

Came here to write this as soon as I saw the thread title. Just beware... that website is a black hole that feeds on time!

A personal recommendation would also be to search for "NOVA Science" on Youtube, or go watch the episodes here:

Plenty of interesting and engaging stuff!

One of my favorites is Red Letter Media, ( http://redlettermedia.com/ ) that features 70 minute long movie style Star Wars and Star Trek reviews which became
famous, because instead of a whiny nerd criticizing the movies, it features an old man, who's a serial killer...it's all in fun, and better than most comedies
on TV or the movies.

If you miss the old days of cooking, where the food was the focus, and not the personalities like on Food Network....(which even THOSE days are leaving us
to focus on low base "reality" shit, people getting in fist fights because the cupcakes aren't right or some stupid food games.... there was the Great Chefs programs,
featuring cooks from the now shitty Food Network when they were younger and meant business:

Featuring a young Bobby Flay:

Featuring a young John Besh from the great state of Louisiana, my home state! (That's so great, we're on the bottom of good list, and top of every bad! Woo hoo!!)

stumbleupon.com is a great site, and if just wanna have a laugh, I'd suggest 9gag.com
